Monitoring,
Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Support Officer
Trócaire
works in and through partnership with local organisations to overcome poverty
and promote justice in developing countries.
Within
the Horn & East Attica Region, Trócaire implements and manages development
and humanitarian programme work in Kenya.
Background
to the role
The
MEAL Support Officer (MSO) will form part of the Programme team within the
Kenya office.
S/he
will support the MEAL Programme Manager (MPM) in ensuring that Monitoring,
Evaluation.
Accountability
and Learning within our programmes are effectively supported and that
accountability to beneficiaries, donors arid other stakeholders is achieved in
line with Trocaire and donor policies and practices.
In
particular, the MSO will be responsible for providing high quality technical
support to Trócaire staff and partner organisations in the planning, design and
implementation of all MEAL activities for two large donor-funded projects in
the technical areas of Women’s Empowerment and Resilient Livelihoods.
The Person Specification
- Graduate
degree in a directly related field, such as operations research,
quantitative analysis, etc.
- Significant
work experience in a directly related field will be considered in lieu of
graduate degree
- Two
years of relevant professional MEAL experience
- Candidates
with work experience on development projects related to resilience and/or
women’s rights are highly encouraged to apply
