Academic Model Providing Access To Health Care (AMPATH) is a project under the auspices of Moi University School of Medicine and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital whose aim is to provide sustainable efforts in HIV Prevention and Care.

Besides the MTRH site, AMPATH also runs satellite clinics at 25 outreach sites in Rift Valley, Nyanza & Western provinces.

The Role

Reporting to the Asst. Program Manager-FPI, the successful candidate will among others be responsible for the following:-
  • Provide coordination and administrative support in IGA Department, Training, microfinance and agricultural extension
  • Develop, monitor and evaluate IGA goals and objectives
  • Assist the Asst PM in the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate interventions and their delivery systems
  • Act as a liaison point between the Research coordinator, safety net committee and the IGA Department.
  • Coordinate all the activities in the sites, utilizing Site Representatives and Project Officers, implement per established budgets, and ensure staff are adequately equipped and resources are available in timely manner
  • Report writing for organizational requirements as well as proposal writing for new Funding and establishment of new collaborations and/or partnerships
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly reports, and annual reports
  • Continually assess impact, refine and improve IGA interventions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness/Agriculture/Agricultural Economics, Horticulture with post degree in Business Management/Administration/Commerce or Bachelors in Business Management/Business Administration/Commerce with post degree/diploma in Agriculture/Agribusiness/Agricultural Economics.
  • At least 3 years experience in management of agribusiness activities; management experience in a poverty outreach setting is an added advantage
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, access, power point, internet, etc
Terms of Employment

The successful candidate will be employed on a 1-year renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and allowances.
