Laboratory Attendant

Grade MNT 5 (1Position) –
Ref: MMU/EA/10/10/2019
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-

·         Collecting and preparing machines and equipment;
·         Cleaning and storing machines and equipment;
·         Cleaning laboratory and workshops;
·         Maintenance of laboratory records; and
·         General laboratory routine.
·         Performing any other duties as shall be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.
Qualifications
·         Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
·         Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution..

Cateress I

Grade MNT 9 (1Position) – Ref: MMU/EA/10/10/2019
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-
·         Preparing menus, their costing and food delivery;
·         Planning for food orders;
·         Overseeing development and implementation of methods for food production;
·         Ensuring maintenance of standard recipes;
·         Carrying out control of product quality, food production technology and raw food product laying norms:
·         Supporting the Hotel Manager in the preparation of the hotel Budget;
·         Managing kitchen equipment;
·         Supervising cleanliness of catering facilities;
·         Coordinating food preparation, cooking, placement and delivery of foodstuff;
·         Liaising with the Hotel Manager in reviewing menus and dietary requirements;
·         Maximizing employee productivity and morale and constantly maintaining discipline:
·         Coaching and mentoring staff; and
·         Performing any other duties as shall be assigned by the Hotel Manager from time to time.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
·         Served in the grade of Cateress II for a minimum period of three (3) years or as a Senior Hotel Supervisory Position in a busy Hotel;
·         Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Hotel and Hospitality Management; Hotel and Catering Management; Hospitality and Institutional Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
·         Diploma in Food Production from a recognized institution;
·         Certificate in Computer Application skills course from a recognized institution.
·         Valid Certificate of Health for food Handlers; and
·         Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Marketing Officer II

Grade MNT 8 (1Position) – Ref: MMU/EA/11/10/2019
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-
·         Maintaining good relations and soliciting daily room production of individuals, groups, and conference business in order to meet sales targets;
·         Planning sales activities by identifying potential clients, organizing sales calls and events to develop new business;
·         Negotiating new contracts and renewals in order to meet sales targets;
·         Coordinating with Front office, Banqueting and Food and Beverage section for all specific guest requirements;
·         Follow-up with clients before, during and after the function/event/stay to ensure repeat business;
·         Attending various trade shows, functions as and when required;
·         Handling complaints and passing to the Hotel Manager;
·         Achieving monthly budget goals and new business targets;
·         Preparing monthly sales activity report;
·         Contributing to overall market plan; and
·         Performing any other duties as shall be assigned by the Hotel Manager from time to time.
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Marketing; Mass Communications; Public Relations; Communication and Media or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
·         Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
·         Served in a similar position for a minimum of three (3) years in a Busy Hotel
