Hydrologist


Responsibilities

·         Research on distribution, circulation and physical properties of ground and surfaces water
·         Measuring the properties of bodies of water, such as volume and stream flow
·         Collect water and soil samples to test for certain properties, such as the pH or pollution levels

·         Analyse data on the environmental impacts of pollution, erosion, drought, and other problems
·         Research on ways to minimize the negative impacts of erosion, sedimentation, or pollution on the environment
·         Use computer models to forecast future water supplies, the spread of pollution, floods, and other events
·         Evaluate the feasibility of water-related projects, domestic and irrigation systems, and wastewater treatment facilities
·         Prepare written reports and presentations of findings
·         Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan citizen
·         Must have KCSE C+ and above or its equivalent.
·         Must have a degree in Hydrology, Engineering Hydrology, Meteorology, Water Resources and Environmental Management, Hydrogeology, or Water Resource Engineering from a recognized institution. iv. Knowledge in GPS or GIS


Record Management Officer

Roles

·         Receiving, sorting, opening, filing, minuting and distribution of mails, dispatching of mails and disposal of files.
·         Organizing and managing all county land records

Requirements

·         Must have KCSE C plain and above or its
·         Diploma in Records/information management from a recognized institution.


Building Inspectors
An officer will be deployed on construction sites for job training under guidance of a senior officer;

Roles

·         Interpretation of architectural and engineering .drawings buildings ii. Checking minor repairs and alteration of existing buildings

Requirements

·         Must have KCSE C (Plain) and above or its equivalent Diploma in building and civil Engineering, OR construction technician part III or its equivalent from a recognized qualification


Public Works Director
Head of public works directorate Responsible for the Planning and supervision of the relevant division’s programmes and activities. Responsible for Organization, direction, control and co-ordination of the functions of the division

Requirements

·         Must have KCSE C+ and above or its equivalent
·         Bachelor’s degree Architecture, Quantity Survey, Structural Engineering/Registered by BORAQS.
·         Must have a master’s degree Architecture, Quantity Survey, Structural Engineering/Registered by BORAQS, served in equivalent position.

·         Served at a level of deputy director JG ‘Q’ or an equivalent position in the private sector
·         Must have a Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution OR attended senior management course from Kenya school of government.
·         Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution


Stadium Caretaker

Roles

·         An officer at this level will be responsible to the stadium manager for all operational aspects of stadium in the county and ensure safe and cost effective operation of all sports
·         Supervising sports facilities to ensure that premises are maintained to the required levels of cleanliness at all times.
·         Ensure that the sports facility complies with all legal relevant requirements
·         Undertaking of regular health and safety inspections /risks assessments
·         Planning and developing a balanced programme of activities at the sports facility in conjuction with the center manager
·         Overseeing the upkeep and marking of sports fields/pitches
·         Managing of sports store maintaining the kits gym equipment, trophies inventory and tracking distribution of sports equipment

Requirements

·         Must have KCSE C – or its equivalent.
·         Diploma in sports administration and management or related filed from recognized institution
·         Related work experience
·         First Aid certificate.
·         Computer literacy


Youth Officers
This will be the entry and training grade for the Youth Development Officers’ cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a more senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will involve: collection, collation and submission of data on youth and health, gender mainstreaming, employment, drugs crime, leisure, recreation and community service; and participate in gender, special needs, employment and participation.

Requirements

·         Must have KCSE C+ and above or its equivalent
·         Bachelor’s degree in social sciences from a recognized institution
·         Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
·         Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance
