Compliance Officer

The Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya, (ADAK) invites applications from qualified candidates for the following vacant positions:-
Vacancy No. ADAK/1/1/2018
Number of Posts: One (1)
Grade ADAK 7

Salary Scale: 70,350-96,600 p.m

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
·         Gathering and compiling data on compliance with anti-doping requirements;
·         Investigating non-compliance with anti-doping requirements;
·         Searching premises suspected of storing prohibited substances;
·         Seizing and detaining prohibited substances and persons found in suspected premises;
·         Compiling anti-doping cases and investigation findings.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
·         Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Physical Education, Sports Science or Leisure and Recreation Management from a recognized institution; OR
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management f r o m a recognized institution; OR
·         Bachelor’s Degree in criminology and criminal justice or equivalent qualification with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management from a recognized institution;
·         A Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution;
·         Knowledge and skills in data analysis will be an added advantage.


Testing Officer
Vacancy No. ADAK/1/2/2018
Number of Posts: One (1)
Grade ADAK 7
Salary Scale: 70,350-96,600 p.m

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
·         collecting information on sports activities from sports organizations for testing purposes;
·         gathering information on sports persons’ whereabouts for testing;
·         capturing data for Registered Testing Pool into Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS);
·         generating and issuing mission order(s) for testing;
·         preparing testing equipment and materials;
·         storing equipment and materials for doping control process safely:
·         identifying, arranging and maintaining an appropriate Doping Control station;
·         implementing doping control process; and
·         capturing and storing data from doping control process into ADAMS.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
·         Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Physical Education, Sports Science or Leisure and Recreation Management from a recognized institution; OR
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management from a recognized institution; OR
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Education (Sciences) or Pharmacy with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
·         A Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution and
·         Knowledge and competence in the use of ADAMS will be an added advantage.


Testing Assistant
Vacancy No. ADAK/1/3/2018
Number of Posts: One (1)
Grade ADAK 9
Salary Scale: 45,570-63,300 p.m

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in: –
·         collecting information on sports activities from sports organizations for testing purposes;
·         preparing testing equipment and materials;
·         storing equipment and materials for doping control process safely;
·         identifying, arranging and maintaining an appropriate Doping Control Station; and
·         Implementing doping control process.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
·         Diploma in any of the following disciplines: – Physical Education, Sports Science or Leisure and Recreation Management from a recognized institution;

·         A Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.


Paralegal Assistant
Vacancy No. ADAK/1/4/2018
Number of Posts: One (1)
Grade ADAK 9
Salary Scale: 45,570-63,300 p.m

Responsibilities

·         Prepare pleadings for filing;
·         Organizing and maintaining documents;
·         Capturing data files into the case management system;
·         Receive service and correspondence on behalf of the department;
·         Transmission of documents;
·         Take minutes in the Alternative Disputes Resolutions (ADR) meetings;
·         Gathering evidence for case preparation;
·         Handling exhibits and other legal documents;
·         Assist in managing the legal registry;
·         Preparing court files; and
·         Filling case files, preparing trial note books and court attendance chits.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
·         a Diploma in any of the following fields:- Paralegal studies; Law or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
·         a Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution


Front Office Assistant
Vacancy No. ADAK/1/5/2018
Number of Posts: one (1)
Grade ADAK 9
Salary Scale: 45,570-63,300 p.m

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
·         Handle all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail to ensure smooth running of activities and information in the Agency;
·         Ensure the reception lobby is clean and tidy at all times for a professional image of the Agency;
·         Maintain vigilance of any security threats and report any security issues to the appropriate office;
·         Ensure customer/client enquiries are escalated to the appropriate staff and reverted to the customer/client within the agreed turnaround time;
·         Receive, filter and transfer calls through the switchboard to the respective department for action; and
·         Report faults on the communication lines to the officer in charge.

Requirements

·         For appointmentto this grade, a candidate must have: –
·         Diploma in Customer Care, Front Office Management, Secretarial Services;
·         Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade of at least C- (minus) or its recognized equivalent; and
·         A Certificate in Computer Applications.
