Job Description:
Client Advice
Offers advice to clients on the legal processes involved in purchasing and selling property.
To calculate any relevant taxes that may apply, the costs of
drafting and finalizing legal documents and explain any complex legal terminology
before signatures are made.
Works to protect the interest of his clients and ensures they
are protected against fraud and money laundering activities.
Local Research
Conducts research to identify legal ownership of properties by assessing government land registry documents or title deeds if the land is not registered to anyone.

Visits local authority planning offices to check for any plans,
such as the building of new roads or shopping area that may affect property
value in the future.
Contracts
Speaks to mortgage lenders, estate agents, solicitors and clients on a daily basis; acquiring key information to include on property contracts.

Prepares property lease agreements and ensure contracts are
signed on the scheduled date of transfer.
Financial Duties
Responsible for calculating tax rates and legal expenses for each transaction.

keeps record of client payments.

Works with property surveyors to assess whether buildings are vulnerable to various Acts of God.

The ideal candidate must possess:

- A
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
- Post
Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law;
- Certificate
of Admission to the Roll of Advocates of the High Court of Kenya;
- Good
communication, presentation, research and analysis skills
- At
least two (2) years post admission work Conveyancing experience in a busy
law firm;
- Proven
experience in commercial and Conveyancing laws, documentation and
procedures;
- Should
be dynamic, self-motivated and aggressive;
- Have
excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability
to work in a team;
- Able
to demonstrate excellent organizational skills;
- Ability
to handle pressure and work with minimum or no supervision;
- Must
be computer literate.
