Assistant Marketing Manager Job in Nairobi (KShs 40 – 60K)

Position Required:  Assistant Marketing Manager
Location: Nairobi
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Communicate with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns.
·         Develop and implement online marketing campaigns.
·         Evaluate market response to advertisements, merchandising policy, and product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

·         Establish marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and services.
·         Develop marketing strategies.
·         Conduct locality marketing (at shop level) in liaison with shop managers to maintain customers and consistently grow sales.
·         Monitor marketing performance to ensure that objectives are met within approved budgets.
·         Track locality plan progress for each shop and provide feedback on results.
·         Research, analyze, and monitor technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and competitive threats can be minimized.
·         Plan and oversee the organization’s advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.
·         Manage the marketing department budget in conjunction with the Managing Director, I.e. delivery of all marketing activities within agreed budget.
·         Analyze potential partner relationships for sales and marketing.
·         Conduct marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
·         Prepare daily and monthly marketing activity reports.
·         Ensure that all collateral and advertising meet required brand specifications
·         Develop  promotions.
·         Reporting on how promotions perform and give recommendations for improvement.
·         Work with writers and artists and oversee design, layout, production and distribution of promotional materials.
·         Compile daily, weekly, and monthly tracking reports.
·         Developing an annual marketing plan and implement, track and update it regularly.
·         Coordinate with MD on all PR-related matters.
·         Working with the IT department to ensure that all information on the website is correct and up to date
·         Liaise with suppliers to ensure that all materials and products are available when required.
Key Qualifications:
·         Bachelors Degree in Marketing or any other related discipline from a recognized university
·         2-3 years of working experience in a hands on role in a marketing position.
·         2-3 years experience in online social media
·         Good analytical and problem solving skills
·         Excellent spoken and written communication skills
·         Good quantitative ability for analyzing performance
·         Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
·         Aggressive Learner
·         Creative
·         Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
Salary & Benefits: 40,000 – 60,000 KSh
