Responsibilities
- The role of the Head East Africa is to lead, manage, develop, organize and oversee all aspects of the business in the East Africa region with a strong focus on revenue generation.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the Bureau, including the editorial, financial, human resource, administrative and commercial relationships.
- Identify and manage relationships with third party service providers.
- Keep abreast of the latest events and business news in the region and the world.
- Drive and meet CNBC Africa’s commercial and sales strategy in the region.
- Lead CNBC Africa’s distribution presence and marketing activities in East Africa.
- Manage and control CNBC Africa’s presence in East Africa.
- Network with potential new clients, customers, television distribution channels and corporates.
- Manage, research, source and assign the production of programmes.
- Manage and take responsibility for the editorial quality.
Skill and Experience Requirements
- Relevant Qualification in Media, or Journalism and Business.
- Minimum of 4 Years management experience in the broadcasting and other media industry.
- Excellent writing and communication, skills.
- Business acumen is a requirement.
- Team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure and reach sales targets.
