We are seeking highly motivated individuals with strong business and entrepreneurial skills, relevant experience and a passion for small scale farmers in rural set up to fill two positions of Business Advisors.
TechnoServe is part of a consortium of implementing partners headed by Heifer International and includes the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), the International Centre for Research in Agro-forestry (ICRAF) and ABS-TCM are implementing the East Africa Dairy Development Project (EADD) in targeted districts in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya.
EADD aims to move smallholder farmers out of poverty by improving their participation in the dairy value chain.
The vision of success for the EADD is that the lives of 179,000 families - or approximately one million people—are transformed by doubling household dairy income by 2018 through integrated interventions in dairy production, market-access and knowledge application.
The first phase is expected to end in June 2012.

Located in Eldoret, the incumbent will be responsible for among other functions to provide leadership in dairy market and business development services for TechnoServe’s client businesses through identification of business service providers, facilitation and provision of business advice, capacity building of clients, business linkages, market information and monitoring of performance.
Applying candidates should have at least a first degree in a business related field coupled with 3 years of experience in any or all of the following: Agri-Business, Marketing and Finance.
Those with finance, project design and management experience will have an added advantage.
