acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, ISO
15189:2012 accreditation for laboratory services, SafeCare level 5
accreditation and is at advanced stage of attaining Joint Commission
International Accreditation.
The
Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has Outreach Health Services at Kisii, Kakamega,
Kitale, Bungoma, Kericho, Kibuye-Kisumu, West End- Kisumu, Busia, Homa – Bay,
Kapsabet, Migori, Bomet and Narok.
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu with funding support from German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the German Development Bank (BMZ/KFW) is implementing A COVID 19 Vaccination Project in Western parts of Kenya.
The
overall objective of the project is to promote COVID-19 vaccination among the
population in East Africa. To effectively implement the programme.
The
Hospital is seeking to attract interested and qualified applicants to fill the
below positions.
Medical
Records Officers (4 Posts)
Vacancy
No: AKHK/PRJ/MRO/12/22
Overall
Responsibility: Reporting to the Medical Records Manager, the successful
candidates will be responsible for timely and accurate entry data into the
chango system of all clients administered with Covid-19 Vaccine.
He/she
will be expected to ensure completeness, integrity, confidentiality and safe
storage of clients records and related data.
Key
Responsibilities
· Gain/receive
verbal consent from clients intending to receive Covid-19 Vaccine
· Identify
clients by use of Identity card, passport or birth certificate
· Register
clients into the Government Chanjo System using the appropriate identification
document.
· Administer
vaccine on the change system as directed by the nurse
· Maintain
a database of all clients administered with covid-19 vaccine and the type of
vaccine received.
· Reconcile
quantities of vaccine used and update the same on Chanjo system
· Prepare
routine reports on covid-19 vaccination program
· Keep
records of inventory or assets of the mobile clinic
· Maintain
the assess in good condition.
· Timely
delivery of service
· Timely
and accurate communication & feedback to clients/stakeholders
· Addressing
customer complaints/concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner
· Ensure
security and confidentiality of patient data and records
· Assist
in medical records department functions in the area deployed.
· Perform
any other duty as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
· Diploma
in Health Records & Information Technology from an accredited Institution.
· At
least 2 years of experience in medical records management in a busy hospital of
same or higher calibre.
· Proficient
in computer packages.
