Actuarial Analyst
Job Description
Main purpose of the job
The successful candidate
will support actuarial advisory services to an array of clients in life
insurance, general insurance and the wider fields such as banking. The person
will also support in project proposals and thought leadership initiatives for
our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support
the actuarial advisory assignments and provide audit support services to
an array of clients in life insurance, general insurance and the wider
fields such as banking and enterprise risk management;
- Develop
a thorough understanding of IFRS 17, and support implementation projects
for our clients;
- Support
project proposals and thought leadership initiatives; and
- Build
actuarial modelling skillset and capacity in software programming
languages such as Prophet, VBA R & Python.
- University Degree in Actuarial
Science from a recognized university with a Second class upper and above
or equivalent.
- Minimum
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) overall grade of B+, with
a B+ in Mathematics and English or equivalent.
- Progress
in passing actuarial qualification examinations.
- Well-developed
modelling skills,Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and R/R Shiny
programming language. Prophet will be an added advantage.
- Strong
communication skills (oral and written).
- Effective
interpersonal and presentation skills.
