To enable PCK discharge its functions, it has put in place a strategic business plan to ensure efficient delivery of services and improvement of corporate image. Effective identification and deployment of the human capital is key to the success of our corporate goals and objectives. In this regard the following positions in headquarters are hereby advertised.

HEADQUARTERS GENERAL MANAGER /PAYMENT SERVICES- GRADE MG 2
Duties and Responsibilities
·
Provide powerful leadership in the management of payment Services.
·
Co-ordinate development, implementation and provision of efficient
and quality Payment service to the Corporation’s clients.
·
Ensure provision of inputs for monitoring the interpretation of
productivity and quality standards in customer delivery processes for payment
services in all postal outlets.
·
Co-ordinate the implementation of performance management systems
including inquiry systems for payment and related services and achievement of
set targets in their particular sub-section.
·
Oversee development of compliance-monitoring plans and support
enhancement of related policy, procedures and systems Identify laws and
regulations applicable to the money transfer business and develop.
·
Oversee the continuous review of the compliance program/plans.
·
Plan, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against set
targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at
building the capacity of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams Organize
sales conferences to introduce new products to customers.
·
Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive
execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others,
and solve problems creatively in the Department.
·
Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed
prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to
maintain maximum profit margin.
·
Provide field support to business coordinators and monitor their
performance to ensure maximum market growth of payment business.
·
Monitor the performance of Business Coordinator in the Region.
·
Develop a sound financial budget for the department.
·
Plan, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against set
targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at
building the capacity of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams.
·
Serve as a member of the Executive Management of the Corporation,
participating in making decisions on all matters relevant to the running of the
corporation.
·
Ensure effective implementation of the relevant ISO processes and
procedures
·
Perform any other duty as directed by the Postmaster General.
Requirements
·
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
·
Master’s degree in a business related field will be an added
advantage.
·
Advanced-Level Proficiency in Managerial Skills (Planning,
Organizing, Controlling, Directing, Coordinating)
·
5 years hands on experience in a manager position.
·
Membership of relevant professional bodies e.g. MSK, KIM, and
ICPAK.
·
Proficiency in computer applications;
·
Certificate of Good Conduct;
·
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
GENERAL MANAGER/MAILS SERVICES -GRADE MG2
Responsibilities
·
Provide powerful leadership in the efficient delivery of Mails business.
·
Responsible for development, setting of realistic targets,
reviewing and monitoring the performance of all Mail sales activities in line
with the corporations set objectives as reflected in the strategic plan.
·
Develop business plans and sales strategy to gain market
penetration and attainment of strategic fit.
·
Providing high quality service to PCK customers in accordance with
the agreed UPU standards.
·
Facilitate training, motivating and giving direction to the sales
teams in the region to ensure set targets are met.
·
Effective maintenance of the Mail service infrastructure,
including equipment.
·
Evaluate regional business performance reports that include
analysis and review of previous period performance with detailed analysis per
Region as per set targets.
·
Continually review infrastructure assets, taking into account
technological development in the Postal industry worldwide.
·
Build and maintain cordial working relationship with clients.
·
Ensure that the Department generates revenue and control expenditure.
·
Provide field support to business coordinators and monitor their
performance to ensure maximum market growth of Mails business.
·
Responsible for Branch Management and Hubs for mail business
·
Facilitate growth in service delivery taking into account Universal
Service Obligations (USO) of the Universal Postal Union and related
infrastructure.
·
Formulate and implement brand strategies that will ensure brand
growth to forecasted market share.
·
Formulate and implement Mail policies and procedures to maximize
output.
·
Ensure that the regions meet set targets on revenue.
·
Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures in
application of mails business.
·
Plan, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against set
targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at
building the capacity of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams.
·
Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed
prospect application submitted or pricing and approval, while striving to
maintain maximum profit margin.
·
Monitor the performance of Business Coordinator in the Region.
·
Develop a sound financial budget for the department.
·
Serve as a member of the executive management of the corporation,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any business related discipline
·
Master’s degree in any business related discipline will be an
added advantage.
·
Must have done postal management course
·
Advanced-Level Proficiency in Managerial Skills (Planning,
Organizing, Controlling, Directing, Coordinating)
·
15 years of relevant experience, 5 of them in manager position.
·
Membership of any recognized professional body
·
Proficiency in computer applications;
·
Certificate of Good Conduct;
·
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and
results.
GENERAL MANAGER/ OPERATIONS. –
GRADE MG2 (a)
Responsibilities
·
Provide powerful leadership in the effective delivery of PCK
business
·
Developing and implementing customer service delivery in liaison
with business unit in the strategy and business development functions
·
Providing high quality service to PCK customer in accordance with
the agreed UPU standards Effective maintenance of the postal service
infrastructure , including equipment facilities and transport fleet
·
Continually review infrastructure assets, taking into account
technological development in the postal industry worldwide
·
Coaching front line staff and monitoring the integration of
productivity and quality standards in customer service delivery processes
·
Ensure that the corporation generates revenue and control
expenditure Coordinates maintenance of PCK fleet to optimum utilization
·
Coordinate purchase of new fleet Coordinate Air and Sea mail
transport system
·
Facilitates growth in service delivery taking into account
Universal Service Obligations (USO) of the Universal Postal Union and related
infrastructure
·
Ensure that issues raised by customers are addresses promptly to
the satisfaction of the customer
·
Monitor that regions met set targets on revenue
·
Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against set
targets and objectives and implementing developments actions plans aimed at
building the capacity of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams.

Ensure effective implementation of the relevant ISO processes and

Requirements
·

MANAGER / FACILITIES- GRADE MG4.
Responsibilities
·
Set objectives, coordinate planning, design, implementation and
supervision of all building works to ensure quality work, completion on time
and within the planned budget Maintain and implement proper maintenance
schedules for all PCK facilities.
·
Participate in the preparation of necessary tender documents and
evaluation of building projects.
·
Coordinate in development of budgets and projects.
·
Design, implementation and supervision of building works.
·
Advice on and prepare corrective designs for maintenance and
conversion works. Prepare budgets for construction and maintenance works.
·
Develop and implement maintenance programs for the Corporation’s
premises.
·
Advice on major improvements required to enhance the returns and
image of PCK’s properties.
·
Ensure effective implementation of the relevant ISO processes and
procedures
·
Undertake any other contingent duties assigned by the controlling
officer.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Land Economics or Building
Economics or Construction, or Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
·
Master’s Degree or Professional Post-graduate Diploma in any of
the above fields;
·
Proficiency in computer applications on the above fields;
·
Membership of a professional body; ie APSEA, AAK,is,or any other
relevant and recognized professional body is an added advantage.
·
Minimum of 5 years hands -on experience in a middle/senior
management position.
·
Certificate of good conduct
·
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and
results.
