Principal Internal Auditor – Business Controls and Project Assurance

Brief Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Business Controls and Project Assurance, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of audits across all business support processes.

Roles

·         Plan, conduct and deliver audits of business support processes as well as project assurance;
·         Manage the execution of audit engagements to ensure conformance to Internal Audit policies, standards and procedures for the delivery of high quality results within defined audit plans and budgets;
·         Perform audits within an ERP, Telecommunications, Financial Services and eCommerce environment, identifying control deficiencies and providing insight for enhanced utilization of the related systems by the business and promoting continuous improvement through technology;
·         Provide practical and cost-effective advice to management on designing, implementing and enhancing internal controls;
·         Provide project assurance in strategic projects as well as recommend controls that should be incorporated within the system to mitigate identified risks;
·         Track implementation status of audit recommendations. Maintain partnership with clients to ensure that all audit issues are resolved within defined timelines; and
·         Develop and implement the Continuous Auditing and Monitoring Program around key areas of concern / exposure.

Requirements

·         Upper second class degree in Business or Technology from a recognized University.
·         Professional certification in accounting (CPA/ACCA). Other qualifications e.g. CISA, CIA would be an added advantage.
·         6 to 8 years working experience in auditing of business controls and project assurance in a reputable professional audit firm or internal audit environment.
·         Experience in leading teams of auditors in successfully delivering audit engagements and strategic projects assurance.
·         Good knowledge of key applications supporting core business processes.
·         IT knowledge – an in depth understanding of the working of various systems e.g. ERP’s, billing systems etc.
·         In depth knowledge of MS Office applications.
·         Detailed knowledge of business operations is essential.
·         Experience in the use of data analysis tools such as IDEA, ACL etc.
·         Reliable, proven self-starter with the ability to effectively manage a team.
·         Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Reporting to the HoD Agribusiness, the role holder will be responsible for generation of sales revenue through effective management of Safaricom Business in the assigned area by ensuring constant availability of Safaricom products and services and effectively aligning field activities with the overall agribusiness strategy.
The key objective will be to drive and achieve revenue targets through solution selling and segment propositions.
Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition And Revenue Growth
·         Effective implementation of strategy to achieve availability of Enterprise products and services and grow revenue the assigned area;
·         Ensure achievement of assigned revenue and NPS targets;
·         Prepare, plan and execute programmes aimed at market penetration;
·         Create awareness and guide the business with customer insights on Agri business growth strategy.
Relationship & Baseline Retention
·         Develop and execute customer ring fencing strategies;

·         Develop strong relationships at CXO level in government and wider Buying Centers to understand mid-to-long term objectives;
·         Churn Management;
·         Contract Management: Follow up on all existing contracts & renewal;

·         Flag potential escalations in good time.
Relationship Account Development Planning
·         Formulate and manage customer relationship through up-to-date Account Development Plans, opportunity road maps, pipeline management and the entire sales cycle plan;
·         Leverage company assets (events & activities) to nature relationship with key stakeholders (CXO & Buying Centres).
Reporting
·         Manage reporting cycles (daily, weekly, and monthly);
·         Strict adherence on use of CRM (SFA) systems for progressing customer orders and reporting;
·         Timely circulation of customer meeting minutes (Not later than 24 Hrs.
NPS
·         Manage customer relationships to drive Net Promoter Score by maintaining strong and deep relationships with accounts under direct management;
·         Follow through on all customer issues until closure;
·         Maintaining communication with the customer throughout the entire customer journey.
Requirements
·         Degree in Agribusiness, Commerce/ ICT or a business related field;
·         3 years’ work experience in a B2B environment preferably selling agribusiness solutions;
·         At least 1 year experience in a sales management role;
·         Knowledge/ Work experience in ICT will be an added advantage;
·         Strong relationship building skills,;
·         New business development skills;
·         Be commercially savvy with a deep understanding and demonstration of solution selling.
