Plan and direct food preparation and
culinary activities
·
Prepare and cook foods of all types,
either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.

Modify menus or create new ones that
meet quality standards
·
Estimate food requirements and
food/labor costs
·
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
·
Arrange for equipment purchases and
repairs
·
Rectify arising problems or
complaints
·
Comply with nutrition and sanitation
regulations and safety standards
·
Maintain a positive and professional
approach with coworkers and customers
·
Determine how food should be
presented and create decorative food displays
·
Determine production schedules and
staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services
·
Estimate amounts and costs of
required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
·
Demonstrate new cooking techniques
and equipments to staff
·
Supervise and coordinate activities
of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
·
Check the quality of raw and cooked
food products to ensure that standards are met.
Qualifications
·
Diploma in food and Beverage
production
·
At least 3 years experience in a high
end catering establishment
·
Proven track record of cost control
including food, equipment, labor and waste to meet the food quality goals and
the hotel’s financial goals.
·
Demonstrate real passion for menu
planning and leadership
·
Good knowledge in hygiene and
sanitization regulations

They seek to hire a waiter to
contribute to overall guests’ satisfaction by ensuring that all the food and
beverages ordered by guests are served correctly as per the laid down standard
procedures.
Responsibilities

Ensure that the tasks allocated
carried out satisfactorily
·
Attend to pre-service briefing
organized by the supervisor before service starts
·
Receive guests to the station by
sitting them, unfolding napkins, lighting candle and proceeding to take their
order for drinks and then food
·
After successfully serving the
guests, present the bill for payment in the prescribed manner
·
Obtain a feedback from the guests
regarding the meal then pass any positive /negative feedback /comments to the
supervisor
·
Do all closing duties as instructed
by the supervisor before leaving for the day
·
Have all the waiters working tools
i.e. Match box, cork screw, service cloths, captain order, pen and service tray
·
Ensure that the stations are kept
orderly at all times and tables wiped and reset after every sitting.
·
Ensure the sits are returned to their
correct positions after use.
Qualifications
·
Education Background in hospitality
or related field preferable from Utalii College
·
At least 3 years of experience in a
Hotel set-up
·

Responsibilities

Ensure the start-up of the hotel goes
smoothly
·
Welcome guests into the hotel and
give a tour of the hotel
·
Ensure the premises are in operative
condition as per category of the unit to receive & serve the guests.
·
Manage on-going profitability of the
hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
·
Deliver hotel budget goals and set
other short and long term strategic goals for the property.
·
Develop improvement actions and carry
out costs savings
·
Recruit, train and monitor staff
performance
·
Corporate client handling and take
part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.
·
Deal with Suppliers / Vendors for
quality products and provide performance assessment of vendors
·
Inspect all departments with their
respective Manager’s for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff
grooming & hospitality culture.
·
Randomly inspecting the stores (F
& B / Kitchen) to check the stock in hand (quality, par stock levels,
expiry etc) with the F & B Manager & Chef.
·
Responsible for legalization,
Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.
·
Support and work with all Head of
Departments in all aspects of running the hotel
·
Planning work schedules for
individuals and teams
·
Conduct regular operations team
meeting with staff to discuss routine operational matters, sales targets and
customers’ feedback.
Qualifications
·
A university Degree in Hotel
management or related field
·
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a
similar role
·
Experience in opening, managing or
re-positioning a hotel with clear track record will be preferred
·
Must have experience in hospitality
·
Must have experience in overseeing
budgets and resources
·
Must have experience in selecting and
managing industry vendors
·
Strong leadership skills and ability
to manage teams
·
A go getter and self-starter.

Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks
·
Restock and maintain trolley on daily
basis
·
Report any missing or damaged items
to the Housekeeping Supervisor and own the responsibility to ensure that the
items are replaced or repaired so to create an uninterrupted or impaired stay
for the Guest
·
Ensure that all equipments used when
performing housekeeping responsibilities are in working condition
·
Manage guest requests in a timely and
