Customer Service Executive Job in Mombasa Kenya

Our client, is a modern consumer led business and a leading manufacturer of edible oils, fats and soaps, with its HQ in Mombasa. 

Following performance success in 2014, the company is growing and is seeking to hire a Customer Service Executive

The customer service executive reports directly to the supervisor – customer retention.

This job will be based in Mombasa, Kenya

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the systems, policies and procedures of the company
  • Participate in conducting internal analysis of the department by providing data related to Partners’ sales performance.
  • Collect external environment data related to market, competition etc on the basis of agreed framework.
  • Conduct competitor study to gather competitor information and their activities. Details would be shared with the team so that the same can be used in making sales and marketing plan.
  • Meet potential clients and inform them regarding the company’s’ products.
  • Ensure clients have updated price list whenever prices are revised.
  • Prepare sales report and share it with the Commercial Team on a weekly basis.
  • Take feedback from client on brand awareness, competitors, service quality, etc.
  • Collect orders from client.
  • Ensure timely payment collection form the customers.
  • Find out reasons in case of lost order or in case a customer cancels and discontinues partnership.
  • Coordinate with brand manager/Area Managers for marketing and promotional activities to be done for Channel Partners.
  • Ensure that the stock is available at all shelves at customer site.
  • Ensure proper replenishment of clients stock by keeping updates of stock position.
  • Discuss client complaints and issues with team head and resolve the issues.
  • Ensure performance of team including visual merchandisers and key accounts manager are appropriate to achieve company sales targets.
  • Manage performance of the Channel Champion/Trade Partner team by monitoring their sales

  • Credit report
  • Order Turnaround Report
  • New product market feasibility report
Weekly
  • Daily Sales Report
  • Sales report
  • Order Turnaround Report
  • Trade marketing sales report
Prepares following forms/checklists-
  • Internal analysis checklist (order/against delivery actual)
  • Sales forecast-Monthly
  • Order form Summary
  • Lost order form-Cancelled Orders
Weekly
  • Payment collection list
  • Order Conversion list
Key Minimum Specification:
  • Must be a holder of a Degree either in a business or social discipline
  • A sales and Marketing / Customer Care or front office. Professional training is an added advantage
  • 3-5 years’ experience in FCMG is required with demonstrated Customer Service, Product Knowledge, Quality Focus, Problem Solving, Market Knowledge, Documentation Skills, Listening, Phone Skills, Resolving Conflict, Analyzing Information , Multi-tasking
  • Must have good business acumen
