Project Manager 
PM OII

Reporting to the Technical Director, the Project manager (Roads & Bridges) will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating and supervising the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction of the projects within the set time and budget
  • Manages day to day operational aspects of the projects and scope and ensure that production targets are met

  • Overseeing progress of work at all the sites and giving relevant updates to the Board of Directors
  • Mobilizing site resources in the line with program of works provided by the Technical Director and Project Coordinator
  • Establishing proper internal monitoring , control systems and procedures to improve on efficiency and productivity
  • Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools and equipment
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on the projects by effectively co-ordinating with government officials in monitoring the progress of work in various projects
  • Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering and a diploma in project/construction management from recognized institutions
  • A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 12 years relevant experience in construction of roads and bridges of which 8 years should be in a senior management position
  • Must be a Registered Engineer from a recognized Institute of Engineers Board
  • Be self driven and possess excellent interpersonal communication and sound management skills while demonstrating a passion for performance and achievement in a competitive environment
  • Be computer literate and aware of current technological trends for the construction Industry
  • Must be willing to travel and work at our various construction sites
Site Project Manager
SPM 011

Reporting to the Projects Manager, the Site Project Manager will be responsible for:-
  • The overall financial profitability of the project and supervising project team
  • Provides technical direction to the Site engineers
  • Develops the project plan and manage execution
  • Plan and Review the contract documents, specifications and drawings
  • Plan and Review the manpower, equipment and plants requirements of the project
  • Preparation and submission of weekly reports to the Senior Management of the Company
  • Follow up subcontractor works in addition to reviewing their progress
  • Assists in reviews of the project design to identify potential changes that will improve the constructability of the work
  • Identifies construction critical items that have the potential of impacting the work schedule
  • Reviews material specification and standards through the constructability process
  • Assures strict compliance with Safety practices and standards
  • Monitors actual work against budgets and schedules to ensure contract completion in a safe, timely manner
  • Monitors performance of the Contractors and Subcontractors and verify that the works are executed in accordance with the latest issue of the Contract documents
  • Implements the construction quality surveillance and monitoring program
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering and a diploma in project/construction management from recognized institutions
  • More than 10 years postgraduate experience, with experience in managing construction aspects of major multidisciplinary projects involving reinforced concrete in structures, embankment construction and construction of works spread in a linear manner over a considerable
  • Previous experience of construction work on roads, bridges is essential
  • Computer literacy: candidate should be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Projects. etc)
Quarry Foreman

Reporting to the Site Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:-
  • Carrying out feasibility survey to assess suitability and geological make up of the Site
  • Closely monitoring all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is carried out to the highest standard
  • Liaising with staff on site and dealing with any technical or staffing challenges that arise
  • Checking that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard
  • To assess the most efficient way of extracting the material from the ground
  • Liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff ascertaining extraction risks
  • Using specialized computer applications to maximize planning and production
  • Monitoring and evaluating underground performance
  • Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Mining or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years working experience
  • Relevant certificates in blasting will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge in mining and drilling and preventive maintenance
Asphalt Foreman

Reporting to the Site Project Manager, the Asphalt Foreman will be responsible for:-
  • Day to day operations and overall administration of the Asphalt site to ensure that production targets are met
  • Measuring the various components of Asphalt to achieve optimum levels
  • Determining the type of asphalt for various roads
  • Providing professional advice on the level and type of asphalt to use in achieving quality work
  • Explaining to the Project Manager the level and quality of asphalt use for the road construction
  • Upkeep and Maintenance of assigned equipment
  • Reviews timesheets and overtime hours and regulates
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a well qualified Asphalt Engineer
  • Minimum 5- 8 years working experience in an Asphalt site
