Pearl Engineering Company Limited is one of the leading construction companies in Uganda. We are looking for skilled and competent individuals to fill the following positions:
1. Technical Manager 1 Position
Scope of the Work
The Technical Manager is the Chief Technical Officer of the Company. He/She will supervise a group of Project Managers (Site Agents) to deliver projects of 10-20 million dollars per year on tinie, to set quality standards and within set budgets. He/She will lead the project teams in project planning and execution. The job is based in Kampala but requires regular travel to Project Sites located within East African Community Countries.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Overall accountability of managing, planning and execution of construction projects.
* Supervision of a team of Project Managers (Site Agents) to ensure works are executed according to plan.
* Managing resources for the project sites.
* Liaison with Clients. Consultants, regulators, and local authorities to ensure good working relationships are maintained.
* Accounting Officer for the project Sites
* Sourcing for new work to ensure continued growth in turnover and profitability every year.* Overall accountability of managing, planning and execution of construction projects.
* Supervision of a team of Project Managers (Site Agents) to ensure works are executed according to plan.
* Managing resources for the project sites.
* Liaison with Clients. Consultants, regulators, and local authorities to ensure good working relationships are maintained.
* Accounting Officer for the project Sites
* Manpower development for Technical Department to ensure a working succession plan.
* Ensure project activities are delivered in line with the company’s Health and Safety standards
Education & Experience
* A good degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent. A post graduate training in project management and finance would be an added advantage.
* A registered Engineer and f or member of a reputable Engineering professional body
* At least 10 years experience in managing civil engineering projects
* Experience in managing multiple projects at ago.
* Proven track record of success in handling projects involving high rise buildings, industrial buildings/works, road works, water works and bridges.
* Proof of having successfully managed multiple project worth $ 10 million dollars.
* A good degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent. A post graduate training in project management and finance would be an added advantage.
* A registered Engineer and f or member of a reputable Engineering professional body

2. Project Managers (Site Agents) 3 Positions

The Project Manager (Site Agent) is the Company’s Administrator of a project worksite. He/She will supervise a group of technical staff on a worksite to deliver the project of 2 – 8 million dollars on time, to set quality standards and
within set budgets. He/She is a team leader project planning and execution of the project. The job is based at the project work site which may be located anywhere within East African Community Countries.

* A registered Engineer and / or member of a reputable Engineering professional body
* At least 7 years experience in managing civil engineering projects.
* Proven track record of success in handling projects involving high rise buildings, industrial buildings/works, road works, water works and bridges.
* Proof of having successfully managed a single project above $ 1 million dollars.
