Upcoming Project Positions
MSH is accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates in anticipation of an upcoming 5 year project focused on systems strengthening and service delivery in Kenya. These positions are subject to project award.
Chief of Party (CoP)

  • The CoP will serve as the Institutional Liaison on this project.
  • She / He will provide overall project leadership, management, and technical direction, and will be responsible for overall administrative oversight and supervision of the project.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Kenya or the region managing USG funded programs is required.
  • Advanced graduate degree in International Public Health or other relevant fields, proven leadership in the administration of large international donor programs.
  • International relocation and allowances are available for this position.
Deputy Project Director (DPD) / Technical Director
  • The DPD will have expertise and experience implementing technical assistance at national level to accomplish project goals by working collaboratively with project technical advisors, partners and representatives from varied stakeholder groups.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience providing technical support on large projects in Kenya or the region.
  • A Master’s degree in public health or its equivalent, with demonstrated success managing USG funded programs in health systems strengthening is required.
M&E Reporting and Learning Advisor
  • This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a plan to monitor progress, evaluate effectiveness, and disseminate results of the Project activities and innovations.
  • Applicants will possess at least a Masters degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in M&E on health and/or HIV/AIDS programs.
  • Experience on PEPFAR-funded program desired.
Senior Technical Advisors
  • The incumbents will be responsible for overseeing their project in Evidence Based, Best Practices coordination or coordinating Multisectoral Linkages.
  • Applicants will possess a Graduate degree in Public Health / Economics with at least 5 years relevant experience.
  • They will also possess substantive knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues and challenges, including PEPFAR requirements. Knowledge of Kenyan health care system strongly desirable.
Technical Advisors
  • The incumbents will provide leadership on service delivery activities in any of the following focus areas; Standards, Accreditation, Quality Improvement, Operations Research, HMIS and Service Delivery.
  • Applicants will possess at least a Post Graduate qualification in Public Health / Health Facility Management with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the development, implementation, and management of health programs.
  • Experience in health systems strengthening work through NGOs and public and private sector organizations strongly desirable.
Director, Finance & Operations
  • The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for overseeing the financial management, administration, and accountability requirements of the project.
  • Applicants will possess an MBA or equivalent graduate qualification in Finance and Management with 8 to 10 years experience working with USAID contracting and administrative management requirements.
  • A strong understanding of USAID Contracts policies and regulations is required.
  • International relocation and allowances are available for this position.
MCH Coordinator (Turukana)
  • The Maternal Child Health (MCH) Coordinator will provide the technical support, guidance and leadership for maternal and child health and related activities to achieve rapid results.
  • The Coordinator will provide technical support and supervision to the community support program and its team, including designing strategies to increase the involvement of the patient in the care, treatment, and follow-up services in their assigned zone.
  • Applicants will possess at least three years experience in the development and implementation of MCH and/or HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs.
  • Strong management, supervision, and program planning skills also required.
  • Experience in MCH health project management/leadership position highly desirable, USAID-supported health project experience preferred.
