African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) Senior Internal Auditor Job in Lagos Nigeria

AFRICA RE wishes to announce the vacancy for the following post, based in Lagos
(Federal Republic of Nigeria): Senior Internal Auditor
 A. Qualifications and Experience:
 Applicants shall be:
  • Holders of a university degree plus a Masters, and a recognized professional diploma in finance, accounts or internal audit.
  • Should have relevant work experience of seven (07) years at least, five (05) years of which must have been at middle management level, preferably in an international commercial organization;
Or

  • Holders of a Masters degree and a recognized professional diploma in the fields of finance and accounts, internal audit.
  • Should have relevant work experience of eleven (11) years at least, five (05) of which must have been at middle management level, preferably in an international commercial organization.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the computer tool – word processing, spreadsheets and presentation.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Anglophone countries include ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, CIA, CISA etc and their equivalents in Francophone countries.
B. Additional Requirements

Applicants must be:
  • Nationals of Member States of Africa Re;
  • Aged between 35 years at least and 45 years at most
  • Of high integrity and dependable
  • Fluent in one of the two working languages of the Corporation (French or English).
  • A good knowledge of both languages will be an added advantage.
C. Main Duties and Responsibilities

For this job which is an upper middle management position (PS3), the successful candidate will, on behalf of the Department of Internal Audit, perform the following duties:
  • Carry out investigations on both the effectiveness and efficiency of internal procedures, in accordance with international standards;
  • Assess and review policies and procedures in place in all operational Departments;
  • Follow up the progress of the implementation of Management’s recommendations and resolutions;
  • Permanently identify strategic risks which the Corporation is facing;
  • Carry out specific investigations and operations upon Management’s request;
  • Regularly conduct audit of the information and communication technology systems.
