Coffee Board of Kenya, a State Corporation mandated to promote competitiveness in the production, processing and branding of Kenya coffee at local and international level and to regulate the Coffee Industry in the public interest, seeks to recruit self motivated, dynamic and results-oriented persons to fill the following vacancies:

Finance & Administration Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance and

Administration Manager will be responsible for:
  • Co-ordination and management of all financial, human resource, procurement and administration activities of the Board;
  • Financial planning, preparation of annual budget and budgeting control;
  • Designing and enforcement of financial policies;
  • Procurement of goods and services;
  • Analysis and interpretation of financial information and cost accounting;
  • Recruitment, appointment, promotions, remuneration, developing/revising human resource and administration policies and procedures, performance appraisal, terms and conditions of service, career planning and succession management, staff training, development and welfare.
Requirements for Appointment
  • A Masters Degree in Business/Public Administration/Human Resources from a recognized institution;
  • At least three(3) years experience in relevant field in a reputable organization;
  • Must have attended a management course in a recognized institution;
  • Demonstrated high degree of professional competence in Human and Financial Resource Management;
  • Must be computer literate.
Personal Secretary I

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attending to visitors/clients, handling telephone calls and appointments;
  • Preparing responses to simple routine correspondences, typing from drafts, manuscripts or recording from dictation machines,
  • Recording dictation in shorthand and transcribing it in typewritten form;
  • Processing data and operating office equipment;
  • Ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents, including classified materials;
  • Guiding and supervising junior secretarial staff and undertaking any other secretarial duties that may be assigned.
Requirements for Appointment:
  • Served in the grade of Personal Secretary II or in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • A Bachelors Degree in Secretarial Studies or Office Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • The following qualifications from the Kenya National Examinations Council - Shorthand III (110 wpm), Typewriting III (50 wpm)/ Computerized Document Processing III, Business English III/Communications II, Commerce II, Office Management III/Office Administration and Management III, and Secretarial Duties II;
  • attended a Secretarial Management Course from the Kenya Institute of Administration, or any other Government Training Institution; and must be fluent in English and Kiswahili; and
  • A Certificate in Computer Applications (Windows, Ms. Word, Excel, Access & Internet) from a recognized institution.
