Development Support Initiatives for Education & Reserach in Africa (DESIRE—Africa) is an International Non Governmental Organization founded to promote post secondary, postgraduate education and Research in Africa.
The organization is awarding partial and full scholarships to Undergraduate / Postgraduate and Research to students to study in African Accredited Universities, limited chances are also available for overseas Universities and it is open to all African citizens.
This is to inform and clarify to interested applicants to DESIRE-Africa Scholarship awards that the deadline for application is 15th April 2010.
Eligibility Requirements and Application Forms are

Qualifications
- Degree in related field/Masters degree will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years’ experience of charitable fundraising, with a verifiable track record of personal achievement.
- At least three years’ experience of managing a multidisciplinary fundraising team, with a verifiable track record of successful team development.
- Developed experience in at least three of the following fundraising areas - community, corporate, trust, statutory, major donor, events and legacies.
- An ability to be proactive in developing relationships with funders and influential decision makers.
- Experience of detailed budgeting and presentation of financial information.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Highly organized and target driven with the tenacity to see through challenging projects.
- Relentless in driving team performance forward.
- An entrepreneurial and highly developed business instinct..
- Understanding of, and sympathy with, the overall aims of the Trust.
