AMREF in Kenya seeks to recruit two (2) Project Drivers on short term basis to be based in Loitokitok and Magadi respectively under the Nomadic Youth Project.

Short Term Contract (six months)

Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbents shall be responsible for:-
• Driving project vehicle for all official duties while ensuring timeliness and safety
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the project vehicle in custody
• Ensuring the project vehicle assigned is well serviced and maintained as required
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of the vehicle work tickets
• Safeguarding all the contents in the project vehicle
• Reporting any accidents/incidents involving the project vehicle in custody to the Project Manager
Qualifications and Competencies

The ideal candidate will have ‘O’ level education, a clean driving licence, certificate of good conduct and at least 3 years experience in driving.

Basic Mechanical and First Aid course/training is necessary.

Must have a good in communication skills both verbal and written in English and Kiswahili, good interpersonal skills, should be flexible and a team player.

The candidate should have high level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality and ability to work under minimal supervision.
