AMREF in Kenya seeks to recruit three (3) Project Drivers for AMREF Italy funded project that deals with improving access to safe water and sanitation for communities in Eastern and Rift Valley Provinces.

With the aim of improving the livelihoods of those communities.

The three positions will be based in Kitui, Loitokitok and Mashuru.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbents shall be responsible for:-
• Driving project vehicle for all official duties while ensuring timeliness and safety
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the project vehicle in custody
• Ensuring the project vehicle assigned is well serviced and maintained as required
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of the vehicle work tickets
• Safeguarding all the contents in the project vehicle
• Reporting any accidents/incidents involving the project vehicle in custody to the Project Manager and Transport Officer
Qualifications and Competencies
• The ideal candidate will have ‘O’ level education, a clean driving licence, certificate of good conduct and at least 3 years driving experience.
• Basic Mechanical and First Aid certificate/training is necessary.
• Experience in hand pumps installation on community wells will be an added advantage.
• Must have a good in communication skills both verbal and written in English and Kiswahili, good interpersonal skills, should be flexible and a team player.
• The candidate should have high level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality and ability to work under minimal supervision.
