Job Vacancy: Fundraising & Partnership Officer
Our
client is an orthopaedic and surgical speciality hospital.
They
are looking for a Fundraising & Partnerships Officer responsible for
developing and delivering fundraising Strategies.
They
will ensure that the institution has the finances to help pay and facilitate
the surgery of patients who cannot afford to pay for themselves.
They
will be overall responsible for establishing and maintaining stable income
streams and activities and ensuring the hospital has a stable funding pipeline.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop
and execute Fundraising and Partnerships strategies
· Source
for donor funding and grant opportunities
· Identify
opportunities for partnership through scanning, networking, advocacy and lobbying
· Establish
and build relationships with potential funding/donor partners
· Initiate
fundraising and partnership drives, events and campaigns
· Lead in
drafting and submitting funding applications and appeals
· Design quality proposals, budgets, donor reports and grant agreement specifications
· Lead in
donor/partners agreement negotiations
· Ensure
that all fundraising and partnership activities are ethical, compliant and
adhere to the relevant codes of practice
· Lead
the team in fundraising and partnership activities
· Maintaining
donor data and communications
· Keep
informed of key developments in the funding environment and inform management
of the same.
Person’s
specifications
· At
least 5 years experience in grant acquisition and management or Business
Development preferably in a social impact organization or NGO
· Demonstrated
experience in fundraising, donor management and rolling out fundraising
strategies.
· Working
knowledge of the donor/fundraising landscape in kenya and understanding in
social impact programs
· Demonstrable
proposal writing and budgeting competencies with evidence of successful awards
in the past
· Ability
to lead teams in fundraising processes
· Experience
in using fundraising tools and understands the legal and corporate requirements
in the sector
