Commercial Manager – Oil & Gas (Kinshasa DRC)

One of our clients based in Kinshasa DRC is looking for a Commercial Manager.

The incumbent will be based in KINSHASA.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·  In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing business and sales development focused on sustainable energy products.

·  Provide leadership on all commercial matters ensuring costs are minimized and the variations to the works are captured, valued and submitted for agreement in time.

·  Manage top-line growth of Sustainable energy solution business in accordance with agreed targets and expectations.

·  The preparation, submission and negotiation of extension of time, disruption and prolongation claims, while liaising with planning and other project delivery departments.


·  Drive the business by being an active and visible presence within all target segments and with the end users.

·  Work on competence development of Business Development Managers and Regional Sales Managers, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.

·  Develop a culture of proactive sales management.

·  Develop and implement short- and long-term sales, marketing, and business development strategies.

·  Represent the Company’s management team within Dealer Channels.

·  In collaboration with RSM, Business Development Managers, develop the sustainable energy solution business within Kinshasa, DRC

·  Manage stock, demos, marketing campaigns, and other sales strategies for the sustainable energy solution business.

Job Requirements

·  10 Years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably in the oil and Gas industry.

·  Degree in Engineering, Petroleum or equivalent

·  Training in Oil and Gas related courses

·  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

·  Must be a strategic thinker and a have strong negotiation skills

·  Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team

·  Superior time management abilities and capable of meeting deadlines

·  Up to date on industry trends, as well as laws and regulations

·  Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
