Job Vacancy: Projects Executive
JKUAT Enterprises Ltd (JKUATES) is a State Corporation operating
as a limited company, fully owned by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture
and Technology (JKUAT).
Its objectives include:
1. To enhance entrepreneurial activity through the latest
innovations in technological research.
2. To provide practical solutions for business problems by drawing on resource personnel from various disciplines in JKUAT.
3. To link the University with industry, government, the public
and other stakeholders and to provide a forum for networking to propel
development.
4. To market the University’s innovations.
5. Consultancy.
Provides senior level communications, administrative support,
maintenance of protocol procedures, information flow and follow-up on deadlines
and commitments made.
Responsible for conducting research on any new business
opportunities and under the supervision of the Deputy Managing Director, we are
looking for a qualified and experienced individual for the role of a Projects
Executive.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
· Identify and communicate
with new business leads for the Deputy Managing Director’s office.
· Conduct research and
also make delivery on any intelligence that will have strong impact on
proposition development for any new business opportunities under the Deputy
Managing Director’s office and the organization at large.
· Develop good knowledge
regarding priority sectors, like market routes and trends.
· Provide required support
for the DMD’s office, especially in activities relating to account management.
· Respond to inquiries
made by clients about the company’s products and services in a timely and
friendly manner
Project Management
· Undertake and monitor
researches to provide highly needed support for the Deputy Managing Director’s
· Project meeting minutes
and recordings, preparing periodic project reports – Inception, PSRs, draft
reports, and final reports
· Complete project
documents.
Administrative Duties
· Manage the communication
of the organization with clients via means like emails, telephones, and
websites.
· Respond to inquiries
made by clients about company products and services in a timely and friendly
manner.
· Act as link between the
organization and the clients to ensure clients take more interest in products
and services rendered by the business organization.
· Preparing financial
statements, reports, memos, invoices letters, and other documents.
· Helping prepare for
meetings and accurately recording minutes from meetings.
Academic Qualifications
/ Work Experience / Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in
Social Sciences, Finance/Accounting or any other business related field.
· At least 3 years of work
experience in business development, project management and administration.
· Highly organized team
player, with pro-active and flexible work style.
· Proven strong focus and
interpersonal skills to develop relationships with donors.
· Excellent writing,
presentation and communication skills.
· Aptitude in delivering
attractive presentations.
· Excellent written,
verbal, and telephone communication skills.
