School Bursar
Job Description
Responsible for fees collection & all the accounting and finance matters as assigned by the KISC Schools management. He/she should be good in dealing with numbers & with high levels of
integrity.
Responsibilities
·         Custody and maintenance of books of accounts and accountable documents;
·         Ensure proper fees records are kept at all times and requisite meal receipts etc are issued correctly.
·         Ensuring a proper paper trail for each transaction is kept Developing management mechanism of school’s
resources & statutory compliance.
·         Planning and evaluating cost reduction measures Managing, evaluating, accounting systems for the school
·         Constant check on possible fraud and errors;
·         Working with auditors in ensuring accountability
·         Preparation and monitoring of school’s budget
·         Developing working relations with professionals e.g. bankers, auditors
·         Prepare requisitions for different requirements of the school Safeguarding the school assets by providing
proper coding and records
·         Supervising of all non-teaching and subordinate staff under him/her
·         Preparing regular financial reports as instructed from time to time.
Qualifications
·         Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Kenya finalist or in possession of any other recognized qualification
equivalent to CPA (Kenya)
·         Bachelor degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a combination of any or any other
relevant degree will be an added advantage
·         At least 3 years’ experience in the accounting practice in a school or any other public or private institution
will be an added advantage
·         Must be conversant with Sage or any other major ERPs.

Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the day to day kitchen activities and ensure that the food prepared and served is
hygienic, well cooked, tasty and in line with the approved school menu.
Responsibilities
·         Plan and prepare all meals
·         Managing the school menu and inventory related to the task

Job Description
Responsible for the general cleaning of the school and any other duties that may be assigned to ensure a hygienic
environment within the school.
Responsibilities
·         Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
·         Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
Dusting, damp wiping, washing or polishing the furniture, ledges, window sills and external surfaces of
cupboards, radiators, shelves and fittings
·         Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required
·         Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks
·         Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment (if any), in order to prevent
damage to floors and fixtures.

Qualifications

Job Description
Reporting to the School Head teacher, the administrative assistant will be responsible for managing the day to day

Responsibilities
·         Acting as a first point of contact for the school
·         Enrolling and admitting new pupils to the school
·         Ensuring that all visitors are logged and have appropriate identification
·         Maintaining and updating school information, databases and records
·         Communicating with parents regarding various aspects of school life, receiving and passing on information
between teachers and parents
·         Ensuring the reception area is kept tidy and that the notice boards are kept up to date
·          Assisting in ordering stationery, materials and other resources and ensuring that stock levels are well

·         Oversee food preparation ensuring good quality & tasty meals at all times that all well planned.
·         To ensure that there is a clean and pleasant environment in the School throughout which involves line
managing and directing cleaners both inside and outside the school.
·         Plan and prepare the menu making certain that a balance diet is provided, in liaison with the Head of
Kitchen and Head of School.
·         Be a major source of awareness of student’s behavior and be ready to alert the Administration regarding
areas of concern.
·         Keep constant communication with the Head of School about students’ affairs.

Job Description:
To provide professional and confidential counselling services to the KISC pupils/students. Alongside this the School
Counsellor will provide staff with advice and support and play a significant role in the pastoral framework of KISC
Group of Schools. He/she will report directly to the Chief Learning Officer, but work closely with the Heads of
Schools.
Responsibilities
·          Collaboratively develop a Comprehensive School Counseling Policy with the Heads of Schools
·         Develop and maintain a written plan for effective delivery of the school counseling program based on best
practice approaches and in line with the school’s ethos.
·         To provide an independent and confidential counselling service to pupils and staff at Kitengela
International School, through individual sessions, responding to their personal, social, emotional or educational concerns
·         To promote a caring and supportive environment where such concerns may be explored, thereby promoting
the mental and emotional health of pupils at KISC
·         To maintain confidentiality (except in those circumstances, in line with Kitengela Intl’ School practice,
where this should be breached)
·         Accurately and appropriately use assessment procedures for determining and structuring individual and
group counseling services. Consult the Heads of School if there is the need to invite an external service
provider for the whole school, or for pupils, or for members of staff.

·         To be alert to trends and patterns of problems and to be willing to identify causes and recommend
