Water Operator
Job Group H

Responsibilities

The Water Operator will be involved in operation and maintenance of the water supply.

·         Water treatment;
·         Chemical dosage;
·         Ensuring functionality of sedimentation;
·         Coagulation and flocculation;
·         Maintenance of clean water tanks;
·         Checking water supply operation and taking meter readings;
·         Effecting cut-offs;
·         Customer connections;
·         Water supply intake maintenance;
·         Inspection of pipelines;
·         Inspection of air valves, sluice valves, wash outs and any other installations;
·         Updating piping reticulation plans;
·         Laying and inspecting new pipelines;
·         Making daily monthly returns and
·         Performing any other function assigned to you from time to time.

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan citizen;
·         Be a holder of at least KCSE Mean grade of D+;
·         Be a holder of at least Complete water operator course or its equivalent;
·         Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than three (3) years in this field;
·         Have proper understanding of government regulations;
·         Possess good communication skills;

Production Manager
Job Group N.
Terms of Service: 3 years Contract
The incumbent will be expected to plan, organize and control production in the organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and stipulated quality standards.

Responsibilities

·         Planning production schedule, controlling and adjusting as required;
·         Managing human Capital and other resources to meet production targets;
·         Making decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement;
·         Working out and implementing standard operating procedures for production operations;
·         Ensuring that standard operating procedures are adhered to;
·         Ensuring implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures;
·         Setting up and monitoring product quality standards;
·         Implementing and enforcing quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives;
·         Analyzing production and quality control to detect and correct problems;
·         Determining and implementing improvements to the production process;
·         Preparing and maintaining production reports;
·         Monitoring and reviewing the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement;
·         Estimating production costs, set targets, manage and implement cost control;
·         Ensuring efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management and
·         Performing any other function assigned to you from time to time.

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan citizen;
·         Be a holder of at least Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Chemical & Process engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya;
·         Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than five (5) years in in production and manufacturing processes and techniques;
·         Possess Knowledge of raw materials and quality systems and standards;
·         Have relevant knowledge and experience in health and safety standards and compliance;
·         Possess Knowledge of process improvement techniques;
·         Have knowledge and understanding of business, finance and management principles;
·         Knowledge of human resource principles and practices;
·         Possess knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices;
·         Be computer literate;
