Key Responsibilities
- All
technical aspects in Wananchi Telecom business in relation to fiber and
associated technologies
- Works
on deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based
on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed
by the sales manager.
- Proactively
scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements,
assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that
optimize value for both the customer and the organization.
- Secures
input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm.
Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support can be
given.
- Coordinates
closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align
solution design with customers’ business requirements.
- Secures
from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s
“technical close.”
- Meets
assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines,
market areas, channel, or teams supported.
- Provides
coaching and professional development to team- member sales associates in
order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical
sales skills.
- Opportunistically
pursues additional business development opportunities within customer
firms.
- Collaborates
with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and
advanced.
- Monitors
customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales
process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal
closure.
- Carry
out any other duties assigned by management as and when required
- Adhere
process and procedures both internally and also for Customer tenders and
RFPs
- Managing
skill sets in a group for long term vision
- Creates
weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Participate
in seminars, technology, event shows as maybe required.

Education,
Skills and Experience Required for the position
Education
- Bachelor's
Degree in Electronics and communication/Computer Engineering
- Telecommunication
Degree also viable.
Skills
& Experience
- At
least 5years’ experience in ICT industry with extensive experience.
- Sales
and Marketing. Any course done in the field will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge
of SDH Ethernet and Cloud.
- Understanding
of Africa Geographical and fiber coverage news.
- Understanding
of Service delivery requirements for Carriers and MNOs.
- Excellent
Customer Relations and high level of organization.
- Understanding
of fiber solution design ICT Industry.
