The National Council of NGOs invites applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:


 
1. Program Officer / Public Relations
 
Qualifications:
·                     Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences;
·                     Possession of a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage;
·                     Experience in proposal writing and project implementation;
·                     3 years’ experience in a similar role
·                     Be fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili;
·                     Have excellent computer skills.

Duties and responsibilities:
·                     Developing and maintaining partnerships with the relevant Government institutions, NGOs, Donors, and other partners that support the work of the NGO Council.
·                     Development of project proposals to various Donors to support the work of NGO Council.
·                     Coordinate all project activities including preparation of work plans and related monitoring.
·                     Management of budget in collaboration with the Finance Officer to ensure expenditures within the budget lines.
·                     Ensure the timely implementation of projects and report any delays or discrepancies noticed in project activities.
·                     Prepare project reports and respond to donors and partners as need arises.
2. Finance Officer / Chief Accountant
 
Qualifications:
·                     A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a reputable organization
·                     CPA Qualification a prerequisite
·                     Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting option. Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business will be an added advantage;
·                     Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications; verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills.
Duties and responsibilities:
·                     Overall responsibility for Accounting, administrative and personnel services
·                     Timely preparing financial statements and submitting the same to relevant bodies.
·                     Maintaining tight financial controls, cash management and financial records.
·                     Administration of the payroll system
·                     Handling of procurement activities of the Council.
·                     Maintaining accounts payable and managing office operations.
·                     Management of a computerized financial system and coordination of audit activities.
3. Administrative Officer/ Human Resources
 
Qualifications:
·                     Bachelor’s Degree in Management/ Business Administration from a recognized institution;
·                     A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position;
·                     Ability to work under minimum supervision;
·                     Have high level of integrity and a team player;
·                     Have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills;
·                     Be fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili;
·                     Have excellent computer skills.
Duties and responsibilities:
·                     Supervision of office services – telephone, cleaning, messengers and registry.
·                     Allocation of office accommodation, furniture and equipment and keep records thereof.
·                     Effective management and administration of transport services including allocation of vehicles and supervision of drivers.
·                     Undertake coordinated maintenance of office buildings.
·                     Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, and cleaning services.
·                     Authorize vehicle journeys and administer work tickets.
·                     Procurement of insurance for motor vehicles.
·                     Settle utility bills – water and electricity – and keep records thereof.
·                     Coordinate security matters in the offices.
