Job Title: Operations Data Analyst
Position
Overview: We are
seeking a Data Analyst to join our one of our clients’ team. We want a data and
analytics expert, someone who can effectively manage and work with data to
reveal actionable lessons-learned for our client’s rapidly growing network of
schools (which is their core business).
This means
they are accountable for their results – pupil enrolment, academic learning,
and financial self-sustainability.
They manage
this through four main teams – their territory managers, a field-based quality
assurance team, an HQ-based Call Centre and an HQ-based program management
team.
As Data
Analyst you will work closely with all of these teams to ensure they have the
reports and metrics in place to be able to keep their finger on the pulse of
their academies and customers. You will also take deep divers into the data to
provide your team members with business insights that lead to action.
Some examples
of issues you may be asked to analyse:
- Run a correlation
analysis between selection inputs from training for Academy Managers and
their subsequent performance as Manages so that the company can determine
which are the most predictive of success in the field.
- The company’s billing
and payment data to determine predictors of pupil withdrawal.
- Studying and creating
a performance-based bonus system for the company’s different teams that
clearly promotes successful business and academic outcomes.
- Creating dashboards
and reports that can be easily used to monitor live performance data
(financial and academic) at the academies.
Your key
responsibilities include:
- Creating and
maintaining key reports and dashboards
- Analyzing the
company’s vast data sets to help management improve decision making
abilities
- Managing
Operations-based data sets.
To succeed in
this job, you need to love diving deep into datasets. You’re great making order
out of chaos and have extraordinary attention to details.
You know the
value of keeping things well-organized and documented and you are comfortable
analysing issues from various view points and variables. You need to be highly
skilled in handling numbers.
Experience in
Excel and statistical software packages (Stata/SAS) is a must. In fact, you see
Excel as your best friend and see each project as a challenge to improve your
Excel skills.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Data Superstar – with
proven ability to organize and work with complex datasets. Solid
understanding of best practices in data analysis, data manipulation and
data standardization across a business.
- Minimum 3 years post
–undergraduate, full-time work experience in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of
proficiency with Excel and proficiency with STATA or SAS.
- Strong ability to
summarize data analysis into succinct explanations.
