Territory Manager
Ref: EBU-SME-ARPIL-TM
In keeping
with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the
criteria indicated below:
Reporting
to the Regional Manager, the role holder will meet overall revenue and
acquisition targets for the assigned territory and work with Data Dealers and
Safaricom Business Partners to develop, manage and expand the customer base and
grow revenues.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of plans to achieve set billed revenue targets through the dealers and partners in the territory;
- Setting challenging targets for the dealers and partners and ensuring their achievement;
- management of dealer and partner sales trackers and ensuring enough sales pipelines to achieve the revenue targets;
- manage the existing/newly acquired dealers and partners in terms of quality of service provided, revenue performance, sales process end to end and compliance to contractual agreement requirements;
- performance review with all dealers and partners and documentation of the same;
- Conduct DOSA as per company standards and ensure all dealers/ Partners have valid agreements;
- Propose new areas of development and growth for dealers managed;
- Skill gap identification for dealer and partner sales team and training to close the identified gaps;
- Proactively attend to dealer and customer related issues and build long lasting business relations/partnership with assigned dealers;
- Maintain 100% accuracy on reporting on information relevant to dealers and dissemination of the same to the dealers managed;
- Timely submission of territory report, Sales executive’s performance review reports;
- Prepare up to date profile of accounts within the territory and up to date competitor intelligence.
Minimum Requirements
- Honors degree in Business Administration/Bachelor of Commerce degree from a recognized university;
- Must have 3 years’ experience in managing dealers or an indirect channel preferably in FMCG;
- Experience in managing indirect channel in a telecoms environment is an added advantage;
- Strong business Acumen;
- Team player with pleasant outgoing personality & resilience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, confident, energetic & with ability to work under pressure.
Senior Manager, Product
Management

criteria indicated below:
Reporting
to the General Manager - Financial Services, role holder will be responsible
for increasing M-PESA revenues by acquiring new customers and influencing usage
from existing customers.
The job holder’s key
responsibilities will be to:
- Consistently develop sound strategic plans to identify untapped business opportunities for M-PESA. ;
- Diligently adhere and/or implement processes and tools necessary to deliver forecasted revenue, subscriber numbers and usage ratios;
- Carry out analysis of customer trends and develop products & activities that address the needs of all potential customers segments irrespective of language, location, age etc;
- Maximize research / data analysis conducted on M-PESA usage to identify trends on customer behavior;
- Working closely with the Strategic Marketing team, ensure that marketing activities cover & appeal to all potential customers irrespective of language, location, age etc.
- Consistently identify M-PESA knowledge gaps among subscribers & develop customer education initiatives to address these gaps;
- Reduce fraud related cases resulting from lack of knowledge by formulating strategies and activities geared at educating customers;
- Strategically position M-PESA globally therefore improving Safaricom’s competitive advantage ;
- Strengthen the M-PESA product by creating competitive business advantage in the increasingly competitive environment;
- Manage the selection, growth, development, performance, motivation and recommend the reward of staff in the section ;
- Management of M-PESA Budget incorporating continuous review of product resources to ensure allocated budget adjustments are aligned to customer driven projects;
- Quarterly review of product Profitability/Revenue stream status to identify deviation from forecast and implement measures to correct spend as per set targets;
- Achieve CDI score for the Division/M-PESA product;
- Take responsibility in driving a Customer-Centric Culture by Identify market research needs, brief the Safaricom research team on requirements & co-ordinate research activities;
- Liaise and follow through with Marketing, Technical and other departments in ensuring initiatives identified to improve Customer satisfaction are implemented as per agreed timeframes;
- Participate in continuous process review and process improvements of products
- Ensure both Kenyan and international marketing activities are well coordinated
- Ensure products alignment with the FS & Safaricom strategic pillars

Reporting
to the HOD, Brand Marketing, role holder will drive growth in revenue and delivering
sustained usage of new and commercialized products by ensuring sustained
development of Go To Market (GTM) strategies that cover the entire commercial
product portfolio for EBU.
The job holder’s key
responsibilities will be to:
- Be part of the formulation and delivery of the EBU marketing Strategy to ensure the company meets yearly corporate and business plan objectives;
- Manage all Enterprise Business Unit Sponsorships and Promotional Activities in conjunction with the promotion and sponsorship team and ensure integration in overall company communication and brand strategy;
- Approve all Enterprise Business Unit Advertising for all forms of media ;
- Research and evaluate advertising performance and brand tracking ;
- Ensure achievement of the set EBU CDI Index;
- Ensure processes are aligned to ISO Standards and deliver quality and value to the business Unit ;
- Manager staff within the section and their development to ensure improved performance ;
- Management of the section budget and ensure that the expenditure is within the approved budget;
- Preparation of weekly, monthly and adhoc reports to address specific issues. Providing value add analysis and insights;
- Regulate and monitor content and delivery of mobile promotional unit and brand activations in conjunction with the media and activations manager ;
- Design all Enterprise Business Unit brand communications and ensure synergies are created between all communication mediums and activities undertaken by Safaricom and Enterprise Business Unit ;
