Purchasing Assistant
Location: Nairobi
Contract Duration: 2 years
Duties may include, but are not
limited to, the following:
- Solicitation and evaluation of quotes.
- Processing of purchase orders.
- Checking order acknowledgments and following-up on deliveries.
- Filing ordering documentation.
- Contacting distributors and producers.
- Helping suppliers solving related purchasing issues.
- Assisting the purchase officers in their daily tasks.
- Maintaining master data.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal
applicant should have experience in garment or related industry as assistant
purchaser/ buyer.
The post requires:
- Degree or diploma in Purchasing and or supplies management
- Two years experience
- Knowledge and experience in procurement of supplies and services.
- Commercial understanding.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of MS Office applications and the Materials Management module of an ERP system, ideally SAP.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team.
- Efficiency and flexibility in executing tasks.
- High motivation and service-oriented personality.

Please note
that the salary to this position is Ksh 60,000 on a fixed term contract of 2
