Finance Manager

Our client
one of the leading service providers in the entertainment industry is looking
to hire a qualified and experienced Finance
Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Management of the finance function for the company
- Negotiating competitive prices with suppliers and contractors
- Ensuring prudent management and utilization of all company resources
- Support the General operations manager in management of staff and company operations
- Be a strategic support to the Group and management, take a leadership role in building the practice and play a leadership role within the support function.
- Overall compliance with finance process and policies, both internal and external
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and laws, with a key emphasis on tax compliance (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, Personal Tax) and tax optimization across the region
- Day-to-day finance function, including a broad range of tasks across general accounting (general ledger, reconciliations), accounts payable (vendor management, processing, payments), fixed assets, (client invoicing, transaction processing, project analysis, variance reporting, etc.) and accounts receivable (client payments).
- Monthly and annual statutory filings, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc
- Project management of statutory audits, internal audits and any audits from tax authorities
- Cash flow management and banking
- Monthly management account presentation, analysis, variance reporting, building of complex financial models to support analysis processes and inputs into key decision making processes
- Oversees the accountant and other staff
Qualification & Skills
- Minimum of Bachelor of Commerce in finance and accounting with strong academic results
- CPA (K)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the entertainment and events industry and minimum of 3 years in management
- QuickBooks knowledge is a must
- Able to establish and maintain effective work relationships with co workers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in computer applications excel, word, PowerPoint
- Of high integrity
- Highly motivated can work under extreme pressure and manage the financial management of several projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytic thinking, problem solving skills and a proven ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, and ability to work independently
- A fast learner
