A small scale manufacturer is looking for a passionate and driven individual to support their HR function as well as general office administration.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

Human Resources Policies and Best Practices
  • Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place and that all employees have job descriptions
  • Create and maintain policies on HR development, general HR, and Health and Safely
  • Provide advice and assistance in developing human resource plans
  • Ensure that all new employees are well oriented into the organization
  • Ensure that employee files are maintained up to date
  • Ensure leave is managed in line with company procedures
  • Staff performance and Attendance.
  • Provide basic counselling to staff with performance related obstacles.
  • Monitor scheduled absences such as holidays or travel and coordinate actions to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of services.

Employee recruitment
  • Advertise and recruit employees based on requirement and as per directive of the Director.
  • Carry out background checks on staff and ensure all contracts are signed and in place before new employees start work.

Administrative Duties
  • Ensure that the human resource plan is implemented and that policies and procedures are followed.
  • Promote workplace safety.
  • Management of staff benefits
  • Attend management meetings to provide information, when necessary.

Salary scale: KES 25,000 to KES 35,000 depending on experience.

Educational background must have relevant HR degrees and some prior experience.
