School of Physical and Biological Sciences
 
Senior Lecturer
 
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree from a recognized University in various fields in biochemistry and biotechnology.
 
In addition, applicants must:
  1. Have at least four (4) years of University teaching, three (3) of which as full-time lecturer;
  2. Have successfully supervised at least four (4) masters students;
  3. Must have published at least four (4) articles in referred journals since being appointed Lecturer;
  4. Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops;
  5. Show evidence of active participation in departmental activities leadership.;
  6. Show evidence of continued research.
Lecturer
 
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree from a recognized University in various fields in biochemistry and biotechnology.
 
In addition, applicants must:
  1. Have a Masters degree in addition to a first degree from a recognized academic institution plus at least 2 years of teaching experience at University level after obtaining a Master’s Degree and at least 2 publications in referred journal(s);
  2. Have presented at least three (3) Seminar papers or has two (2) publications in referred journals or a University level book by a reputable publisher;
  3. Have obtained a Bachelors Degree in any of the areas mentioned;
  4. Show evidence of active participation in Departmental activities leadership and good quality teaching.
School of Agriculture 
Department of Agricultural Education and Extension
 
Senior Lecturer
 
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree from a recognized University in various fields in Education. 

Applicants with Agricultural Education and Extension background have an added advantage.
 
In addition, applicants must:
  1. Have at least four (4) years of University teaching, three (3) of which as full-time lecturer;
  2. Have successfully supervised at least four (4) masters students;
  3. Must have published at least four (4) articles in refereed journals since being appointed Lecturer;
  4. Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops;
  5. Show evidence of active participation in departmental activities leadership;
  6. Show evidence of continued research.
Lecturer
 
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree from a recognized University.  

Applicants with Agricultural Education and Extension background have an added advantage.

Department of Agricultural Resource Management
 
Senior Lecturer
 
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree from a recognized University in various fields in Horticulture.
 
In addition, applicants must:
  1. Have at least four (4) years of University teaching, three (3) of which as full-time lecturer;
  2. Have successfully supervised at least four (4) masters students;
  3. Must have published at least four (4) articles in refereed journals since being appointed Lecturer;
  4. Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops;
  5. Show evidence of active participation in departmental activities leadership;
  6. Show evidence of continued research.
Lecturer
 
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree from a recognized University in various fields in Horticulture.
 
In addition, applicants must:

Estates Manager
 
Applicants must be holders of at least a bachelor’s degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Quantity Survey or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.  

In addition they must have;
  1. At least five (5) year’s relevant post qualification experience as an estates manager or equivalent position in a large organization;
  2. Experience in conducting site surveys and evaluating prefeasibility and feasibility studies;
  3. Proven knowledge and experience in carrying out civil works and evaluating drawings and specifications for projects;
  4. Proven track record in managing a large team of construction and maintenance personnel;
  5. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft project softwares;
  6. Be registered with the relevant professional body.
Those in possession of a Master’s degree in the relevant field will have an added advantage.

Housekeeper
 
Applicants must be holders of KCSE C- /KCE DIV III and above.  

They must have a Higher National Diploma in Institutional Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. 

In addition they must;
  1. Have at least three (3) year’s relevant work experience in housekeeping preferably in an institution of higher learning;
  2. Have proven track record in managing a large team of accommodation personnel;
  3. Show evidence of computer literacy.;
Those in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant area or an Ordinary Diploma with five (5) years’ experience will also be considered.

Hostel Attendant (Night Duty)
 
Applicants must be holders of KCSE C - /KCE DIV III and above.  

They must have a Diploma in Institutional Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

In addition they must;
  1. Have at least three (3) year’s relevant work experience in housekeeping or in providing security in hostels, preferably in an institution of higher learning.
  2. Show evidence of computer literacy.
Those with a discharge certificate from the disciplined forces or recognized certificate in security training will have an added advantage.
