Quality Control Assistant
Salary 25k - 35k
Our
client is a leading FMCG in the soft drink beverage industry that manufactures
a variety of brands both bottled and packaged.
Work Relations:
External: The Quality Control Assistant key external working relations will be working with suppliers as well as standards bodies with the purpose of co-packaging, enquiring on the availability of materials, consultation for production operations and scheduling and maintaining and improving the quality standards.
Internal: The internal working relations will be to coordinate and liaise with internal staff to ensure quality standards will be attained.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct on line
quality checks to ensure products conform to the product specifications
- Assist in
monitoring the quality of manufactured products and raw materials through
analysis of raw materials and products
- Responsible for
entering and following-up non-conformances
- Perform
analytical testing as required to determine compliance of raw materials
and finished products against specification
- Ensure all lab
and site safety and GMP rules are adhered to
- Assist in
ensuring compliance with national and international standards
- Assist in
ensuring preparedness for internal and external audits
- Liaising with
the maintenance in case of breakdowns
- Ensure the
plants machines are clean after production
- Ensure the
machines, production floor and other areas are kept clean at all times
- Training staff
on good manufacturing practices and hygiene
- To carry out any
other duties that may be assigned to him/her by the Management from time
to time.
Required
Qualifications
- 2-3 years
progressive working experience
- Diploma or
Degree in Food Science Technology
- Training in
Quality Control, Standards and auditing
- Experience in a
Beverage processing plant
- Good
communications skills both oral and written
- Excellent
negotiating skills
- Excellent
interpersonal skills
- Managerial
experience in a busy organisation
- Good planning
and organisation skills
- High level of
integrity
- Able to
multitask and handle various tasks efficiently and effectively
- Able to change
roles without loss of productivity
- Be
