Accountant 

Health NGOs Network (HENNET) is a network of CSOs, NGOs, FBOs and other thematic networks operating in Kenya’s health sector. 

The Mission of HENNET is to stimulate linkages and strategic partnerships among health stakeholders in the Kenyan health sector. GAVI (through CRS) is funding HENNET to implement an advocacy project which aims at promoting the uptake of immunization in Kenya
 

Position profile:
 
In order to increase capacity to deliver on its mandate, HENNET is seeking to urgently recruit an accountant; the accountant will have the overall responsibility of managing both financial and administrative
functions of HENNET.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and operationalize a sound Financial Management system for HENNET
  • Provide general accounting and financial support including donor financial reporting.
  • Implement and monitor financial compliance with the organizations financial manual.
  • Implement financial decisions of the management and appraise the same on the progress.
  • Manage HENNET financial resources to provide maximum productivity.
  • Manage the administrative functions of HENNET
Required qualifications and experience:
 
Ideal candidates must have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration
  • Professional qualifications in Accounting (CPA (K) and/or ACCA finalist)
  • Three (3) years work experience preferably in an NGO; experience in managing USAID, EU and GAVI funding is desirable
