Office Manager
Our client in the tour and travel industry.
They need a pro-active individual to fill this competitive
position.
Key duties/responsibilities
- Establishing
policies, procedures, and work schedules.
- Provides
communication systems by identifying needs; evaluating options;
maintaining equipment; approving invoices.
- Maintains
administrative staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training
employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Accomplishes
staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and
appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees;
initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Provides
historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval
systems.
- Maintains
continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting
and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains
professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
benchmarking professional standards; reviewing professional publications;
establishing personal networks.
- Contributes
to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Achieves
financial objectives by anticipating requirements; submitting information
for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analyzing
variances.
Job specification
- Degree
/ Diploma in Business related course.
- Degree/Diploma
in tour and travel a must.
- Six
months to one year experience in office management.
- Work
experience in a tour and travel company.
- Detail-oriented
with the ability to manage staff.
- Excellent
communication skills, both verbal and written
- A
hunger to learn and ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth,
entrepreneurial environment
- Entrepreneurial,
self-starter with hands-on approach.
- Ability
to work under minimal supervision
Salary Range: Kshs 25 - 40,000
