Office Clerk
Job purpose
To assist in supporting accounts departments in ensuring
that the company’s information management systems and controls are up to date
and operating well by complying with the set standards.
Indicators of good performance of the job
- Proper
standards for system availability set and achieved
- Increased
accuracy in sales capturing system
- Timely
data entry of information with a backup system
- Optimal
network integrity and security achieved.
Key duties
- Receive
the GRNs from the route vehicles, prepare sorties per route in Excel
and Quick Books format/any other program introduced and implemented by
management.
- Prepare
dally sales summary, sales summary to stockiest and discounts allowed ,
route sales and sales per salesman/ assistant,.
- Assist
in the payroll preparation by inputting salary commission for Sales crew
- Prepare
Excel’s casuals commissions
- Prepare
Cash vouchers as directed
- Assist
in posting sales and invoices into the system and maintain up to
date route sales
- Relieve
the Cashier while on off duty
- In
charge of stationary inventory
- Manage
a proper and easy to use departmental filing system.
- Any
other duties that may be allocated to you from time to time by
your superiors from time to time
Knowledge /skills/ experience
- CPA
1 or Any Business Certificate or Diploma
- Knowledge
of Accounting packages will and added advantage ie. QuickBooks
- Training
experience of staff on computer usage
