We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of Manager, Security Services (Ground Handling) based at the Jomo Kenyatta Intl Airport, Embakasi. Interested candidates should have the following qualifications:

Scope of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain departmental budget for staffing; maintain workforce within rationalized numbers.
  • Developing and implementing security policies, strategies and procedures for the company, in conjunction with the Corporate Security Manager.
  • Ensure handling services are provided in accordance with prevailing ground handling agreements with customer airlines
  • Maintain all applicable security and safety standards
  • Ensure adherence to service quality targets, arrange for quality measurement readings to be taken during duty shift
  • Exploit all potential for additional revenue and/or cost saving
  • Maintain reporting system to the Corporate Security Manager and the Manager Airport Operations; operational issues of a technical nature will be reported to the Corporate Security Manager whereas general operational and administrative issues will be reported to the Manager Airport Operations.
  • Co-operate in business development.
  • Develop and foster good relations with customers, authorities (KAA, CID, KCAA, Customs) and the industry in general
  • Recruitment, training and assessment of the staff. Recommend Training Programmes.
  • Staff development, maintenance of discipline and counselling
  • Be responsible for duty roster procedures.
  • Ensure that period Security Checks and Audits are conducted as per the Security Program.

Job Specification

Educational Background: University Degree (Desirable) or appropriate training in Senior Security Management

Experience: 3+ years in a relevant managerial position
