Apollo Life Business Development Manager Job in Kenya

Position: Business Development Manager

Reports to: C.E.O

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing the group life, credit life and pensions business portfolio of Apollo Life.

He/she will be responsible for strategy, growth, and profitability of the group life, credit life & pensions business portfolio by ensuring delivery of the set targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell the Company’s range of group life, credit life & pensions products to corporate clients directly and through insurance brokers & independent agents,
  • Recruit, train, develop and manage a team of direct sales agents of the Company
  • Build relationships with insurance brokers, independent agents and corporate clients.
  • Work closely with the business development team of the Company’s related insurance company so as to develop strong business synergies within the group,
  • Expand the company’s market share in defined and new markets.
  • Research and report on market trends and intelligence and assist in development of new products suitable for defined market segments.
  • Develop and implement key account management plans that will drive account retention.
  • Maintain client satisfaction as per the service level agreements
  • Develop and Implement sales and marketing strategies
  • Prepare and present timely Executive Management reports.
  • Ensure company standards and business practises are safeguarded internally & externally.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulators and any other legal requirements.
The Ideal candidate should have:
  • Three years corporate marketing experience in the insurance industry.
  • Be able to clearly exhibit to the Company on his/her past 3 years group life, credit life and pensions business production directly and through insurance brokers, direct sales agents & independent agents
  • The ability to prospect and network in a defined market, and to market the Company’s products.
  • Integrity, honesty and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Excellent all-level communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum requirements:
  • Graduate from a recognised University.
