Dudutech General Manager Job in Naivasha Kenya

Dudutech is part of the Flamingo - Finlays Group whose value added horticultural products supply markets in the UK and Europe.

Dudutech is a market leader in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), producing, supplying and offering technical support for an extensive range of its own biological control agents to the Agricultural Sector.

Global opportunities and growth of sustainable and environmentally sound agriculture practices have in turn presented both local and international opportunities for the company.

As a result we are looking for a dynamic person who as a focused self starter will manage the Kenya business and work with our technical team in order to develop and implement strategic business plans aimed at long term sustainable growth.

General Manager, Dudutech


Primarily based in Naivasha but with national and international travel opportunities, this is an exciting position which recognizes the need for a senior professional to work and lead a team in developing an integrated and sustainable strategy within our IPM operations.

The job:

Reporting to the Managing Director - Flamingo Africa, the person will work as an integral part of the Dudutech team in order to strategically manage operations such that we produce, supply and grow the business in order to profitably maintain stakeholder satisfaction in a sustainable manner, the key result areas for this position comprise:
  • collaboration with the team to plan, develop and implement operational strategy which aligns the companies business plans for quality and growth to best practice activities within both production and sales in order to deliver long term sustainable competitive advantage and profitability.
  • leading, managing and developing both individuals and the team through effective communication and mentoring.
  • contributing to the management of the company promoting a culture that enables people to think, be stimulated, enjoy what they do and that they believe being a member of the Dudutech is of value to them.
The person:

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications / competencies:
  • Ten years demonstrable senior operations or production management experience devising and implementing business-relevant strategy preferably within a large company with international reach.
  • The depth of experience and skills should be such that sound people and line management competence can be taken for granted.
  • Self driven, reliant and motivated, being energetic and positive in outlook with hands on and energetic approach in seeing things through to completion.
  • Highly numerate and computer literate.
  • Experience in handling and working in multi-site operations with good project management skills being able to structure a plan, marshal resources, work within a team and deliver on commitments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills: persuasive and with the gravitas to gain confidence at board level.
  • Should be a graduate. Holders of an MBA and having experience of the technical agricultural, horticultural or related sector with IPM knowledge will have an added advantage.
