The Position
Reporting to the Director Treasury, the successful candidate will be responsible for increasing the banks income  through marketing and trading in foreign exchange and money market products. They will also be expected to  maintain the banks existing Foreign and Money market client base and targeting new client base.
Key Responsibilities
  • Generate a higher volume of quality business from existing and new clients, leading to a higher return on assets and investments;
  • Drive and monitor performance the Treasury Sales Plan covering all Treasury products and customer segments.
  • To ensure that the bank makes a profit from its corporate clients and strategize on the trading in liaison with the Treasurer.
  • Actively identify and market clients with potential to grow revenues from sales of treasury products and services.

  • To plan the monthly client calls with the rest of the Trading Market Unit dealers and report on the daily activities to the Treasurer.
  • Organize the schedule for preparation of the daily Forex and Money market report to be sent to clients by the Treasury Market Unit desk.
  • Directing and supervising the Treasury Market Unit staff on the strategy for marketing of Treasury products and cross sell of Banks Product Catalogue.
  • Monitor the following:
    • Adherence to the client calls schedule
    • Monthly profits on securities sales to make sure that we are within our budgeted figure.
  • Directing and supervising on the following
    • Relaying any important information/news to the Interbank dealers to enable the trade the banks position promptly and profitably.
    • Advising branch staff on matters pertaining to FX operations
  • Ensuring that a high level of staff development and motivation is achieved.
  • Provide Leadership and ensure that a high level of staff performance, development and motivation is achieved by team of dealers
The Person
In order to be considered for the above position, all applicants should have:-
  • A University degree from a recognized university in a relevant field, preferably with an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification;
  • Professional Banking qualification or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years proven working experience in a large dealing room/ Treasury Function.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and money market management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all Treasury products including foreign exchange, money markets, derivatives and fixed income
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Treasury function from end to end including the back office processing component
  • Ability to build and maintain Business relationships
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
