The Position
Reporting to the Director Treasury, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of foreign exchange  ncome from Retail & SME clients through negotiated retail deals, counter traded deals and increased swift transactions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and monitor performance of Retail Forex Sales through the Branch Network to grow revenues to meet set targets
  • Drive Forex sales through targeted sales initiatives and product packaging through the branch network and directly to key retail and SME customer segments
  • Identifying lucrative target markets and developing effective strategies and action plans to pursue and penetrate them.
  • Setting and monitoring Forex sales branch targets

  • Establishing dedicated foreign exchange centers in all key branches and ensuring optimal service delivery at Forex counters
  • Developing extra delivery channel(s) for treasury products to Corporate and Institutional customers
  • Manage existing clients expectations in regard to foreign exchange management and conversions and other related services
  • Make branch visits and call on both existing and prospective customers
  • Developing and monitoring foreign exchange procedures with a view to continuous improvement and added value to customers
  • Monitoring retail foreign exchange products to ensure product features and tariffs remain relevant to target market and competitive
  • Organizing and on occasion facilitating user training on all aspects of foreign exchange and other treasury products and services for relevant branch staff
  • Developing incentive schemes for branches and branch staff to motivate and drive business growth
  • Obtaining variance explanations from branches regarding performance on foreign exchange
  • Preparing and circulate value adding monthly reports highlighting branch performance and providing market intelligence to branch staff
  • Provide Leadership and ensure that a high level of staff performance, development and motivation is achieved by team of SME & Retail dealers
The Person
In order to be considered for the above position, all applicants should have:-
  • A University degree from a recognized university in a relevant field, preferably with an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification;
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in sales and marketing of treasury products in a dynamic financial institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a sales strategy to success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all Treasury products including foreign exchange, money markets, derivatives and fixed income
  • A strong understanding of risk management
  • Computer proficiency literate
  • Ability to build and maintain Business relationships
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
