National Irrigation Board (NIB) is a parastatal and a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Water and Irrigation.
Due to a number of ongoing and upcoming projects, the organization is looking to fill in the following vacancies.
1. Senior Dam Engineer
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the incumbent will have knowledge of dam designs and analysis and demonstrated experience in carrying out technical analysis relating to dam safety such as stability analysis, dam break studies and

Requirements:-
- First degree in civil, structural or geotechnical engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in dam engineering technical roles including design and/or site construction roles.
- Knowledge of design, analysis and construction methods including an understanding of the structural, geotechnical, hydrological and hydraulic design of large dams.
- Knowledge of ICOLD, MWI and WRMA regulatory requirements, or ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
- Compliant with the requirements of the Engineers Registration Act CAP 503
2. Land Specialist
Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will have knowledge on land related issues such as land law, land valuation alongside demonstrated experience on compensation of land owners and execution of community resettlement programmes.
Requirements:-

Requirements:-
- First degree in land economics or law.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in handling land valuation, compensation and resettlement issues.
- Thorough knowledge of World Bank and JBIC Guidelines on Involuntary Resettlement.
- Demonstrated ability to provide specialist input into internal and external investigations, research and reports relating to land adjudication, compensation and resettlement issues.
- Knowledge of Risk Management.
