The Role
As Kenya Partnership Manager, on the Global Operations team, you will work closely with the Kenya board and your supervisor to oversight strategy implementation and compliance with policies and country laws. You will be responsible for growing and developing new and existing local partnerships between local community institutions, experienced business professionals, and Partners Worldwide team members. We are looking for someone with experience in business development, and a passion for coaching and developing others. The Work

Build healthy partnerships that include regular communication and planning.

Work with local community institutions to consistently measure and report impact.

Work with the Kenya board to create a country strategy that includes identifying key priorities and creating budgets.

Develop and collaborate with the Keya board to build strong administrative structures that comply with local law.

Participate in formulation of country annual budget and control the use of resources.

Represent Partners worldwide and its work locally and regionally.

Serve on cross-regional teams to grow and improve the organization’s work around the world.

Provide leadership in fundraising and other initiatives to enhance sustainability of program work in Kenya.

Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications


A degree in business, accounting, finance, economic development, agribusiness/agriculture development or a related field from a reputable, accredited university.

5 years professional experience with at least 3 years working in business in the private or non-profit sector.

Permanent residency in Kenya.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Project management skills and experience.

Experience building and maintaining cross-cultural relationships.

Not required but helpful:

Proficiency in Office365, Salesforce, Power BI

Experience in concise and compelling business writing and project reporting

Prior exposure or experience with agrobusiness and production initiatives that would facilitate interaction and communication with agriculture-based partnerships
