Responsibilities
- Implementation
of animal production policies, programmes and projects at the sub-county
- Assisting
in the designing, programmes, projects, Policies and strategies addressing
Animal Production
- Capacity
building and backstopping on Animal Production management and development
in the sub-county
- Monitoring
Animal Production requirements, pre and post-harvest losses and
establishing trends in the sub-county
- Participating
in monitoring and evaluation of Animal Production programmes in the
sub-county
- Collating,
analyzing, reporting, storing and disseminating Animal Production
information
- Developing
training packages on Animal Production
- Promotion
of compliance standards in Animal Production
- Preparation
of work plans and budgets for the sub-section
- Planning
and participation in field days, Exhibitions and Shows
- Compilation
of sectional periodic reports
- Linkage
with other sub-sections involved in Animal Production.
- Overseeing
the implementation Animal Production policies, Programmes and projects at
the ward level
- Implement
any other relevant county/sub-county activities as may be assigned by the
supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor
of Science in Livestock Production /Animal production/Animal Science,
Dairy production, poultry or its equivalent.
- A
member of Animal Production Society of Kenya or any other relevant body
- At
least 2 years’ work experience in the department of livestock production.
- Computer
literate with knowledge on related computer packages
- Possess
Proposal development skills,
- Good
Communication skills,
- Report
writing skills
- To
have resource mobilization skills
