The

and Outreach Health Facilities across East Africa.
The
Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is in an exciting growth phase and has attained
acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, ISO
15189:2012 accreditation for laboratory services, SafeCare level 5
accreditation and is at advanced stage of attaining Joint Commission
International Accreditation.
The
Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has Outreach Health Services at Kisii, Kakamega,
Kitale, Bungoma, Kericho, Kibuye-Kisumu, West End- Kisumu, Busia, Homa – Bay,
Kapsabet, Migori, Bomet and Narok.
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu with funding support from German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the German Development Bank (BMZ/KFW) is implementing A COVID 19 Vaccination Project in Western parts of Kenya.
The
overall objective of the project is to promote COVID-19 vaccination among the
population in East Africa. To effectively implement the programme.
The
Hospital is seeking to attract interested and qualified applicants to fill the
below positions.
Nursing
Officers (Vaccination) (4 Posts)
Vacancy
No: AKHK/PRJ/NOV/12/22
Overall
Responsibility: The successful candidates will be
responsible for providing safe and competent general nursing care for patients,
administration of vaccines and managing vaccine logistics.
Key
Responsibilities
· Utilize
the nursing process in planning and executing care for patients/clients
· Ensure
safe and proper handling and administration of COVID-19 vaccine.
· Perform
physical assessments and follow proper technique in administering vaccination
· Ordering
of vaccinations
· Maintain
cold chain in handling vaccines and related product
· Maintain
accurate and timely documentation of all vaccination activities
· Formulate
care plans and educate patients regarding vaccination process, possible adverse
reactions, and isolation/quarantine practices where applicable.
· Adhere
to infection control procedures
· Maintain
clients` confidentiality.
Requirements
· KRCHN
· Bsc.
Nursing will be an added advantage
· Basic
Life Support (BLS)
· At
least 1 year post registration work experience
· Working
experience in covid 19 vaccine administration and logistics management
· A valid
NCK practicing license
· Must be
a member of the professional body (NNAK).
