Job Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Based at: NBO
Job Purpose: Responsible for ensuring
the day-to-day supervision and provision of effective service solutions to our
clients.
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day departmental
performance and compliance of your team.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Managing a team of
staff, to ensure that both departmental and individual pre-defined targets are
achieved, processes are followed, and high-quality standards of service are
maintained.
· Providing assistance and
advice to the staff to ensure that relevant and targets and processing is made
in a timely and accurate manner.
· Ensuring that your team
work within company guidelines regarding processing time and procedures as
defined
· Providing operational
support to the team to ensure the smooth flow of cargo from origin to end
point.
· Managing the acceptance
of cargo in line with carrier’s requirements and load ability as directed.
· Offering guidance and
assistance to the team to ensure the Optimization and space utilization on
carrier’s aircraft.
· Build and maintain strong
relationships with our suppliers, carriers, GHA’s, and service partners,
· Ensure that the
department updates all records correctly.
· All data is captured
correctly.
· Manage the auditable
process flow of documentation, internally and externally, as appropriate,
ensuring that it is produced to time and handed over to the relevant parties.
· Through knowledge of
traffic trends, identify potential underutilized capacity, bottlenecks and
service level issues.
· Analysis of relevant
data to monitor accurately internal and external supplier and carrier
performance levels.
· Assist with product and
business development by gathering data on traffic profile and service level
requirements,
· Ensuring departmental
operational coverage in conjunction with the Station Manager to ensure the
seamless transition of work functions.
· Setup and ensure
operational compliance in line with customers’ expectations
· Ensure staff are trained
and proficient to fore fill customers services

customers, suppliers, external authorities, staff and management.
Personal Profile:
· The ability to work
with, understand, motivate, and communicate with individuals and groups.
· Proven Operational
Management Experience
· Technical proficiency in
methods, processes, procedures, and techniques.
· Demonstrate the ability
to retain, motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance
· Ability to handle many
tasks accurately and efficiently.
